THE HESITATION CIRCLE

With the current state of the world, it's more important than ever to be vigilant and report any suspicious behavior. But who needs to report what, and to whom? In this episode, thanks to a brilliant question from our listener, Greg, we will explore who needs to report suspicious behavior, and what type of behavior is considered suspicious and essentially who to report said info to!

There are a number of reasons why people might be reluctant to report suspicious behavior, but in this episode the more surprising revelation is who SHOULD report it...... and who falls into "The Hesitation Circle".

If you see something suspicious, say something. It's up to all of us to help keep our communities safe. By reporting suspicious behavior, you could be helping to prevent crime and keeping people safe. So if you see something that doesn't seem right, trust your instincts and report it.

S3E7 Russian School Shooting

Izhevsk 26 September 2022

And just to prove the heinous point that school shootings are not only a US problem…… in this episode we uncover what is known about the recent Russian school shooting in Izhevsk that left 17 people dead and 24 people wounded on the 26th of September, 2022.

We often think of this frightening concern about mass killings and we say, “Oh, this is such a US phenomena.” It is not necessarily true from a worldwide standpoint.

Firearms exist all over the world and it's a risk that is occurring more frequently and on an international basis. It is a worldwide threat, which is sadly, not something Katherine would have said only a few years ago.

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas School Shooter sentencing

On October 17 2022, a Florida judge sentenced the Parkland school shooter to life in prison without parole. It’s been nearly five years since the shooting that killed 17 people and injured 17 others on Valentine’s Day. The then, 19-year-old gunman had pleaded guilty leaving a Jury to decide whether he would face life in prison or the death penalty.

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooter was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, a judge ruled escaping the death penalty that was also on the table.

However, it is doubtful that this will be the end of the story. There is the possibility of appeals, and even if those are unsuccessful, just how long will the victims' families and survivors be stuck in a cycle of reliving the worst day of their lives before they can get some legal closure?

THE $965 MILLION VERDICT

SANDY HOOK VERSUS ALEX JONES

S3LQ4

The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut. Twenty-six people were killed, including twenty children between six and seven years old. The perpetrator also shot and killed his mother before driving to the school.

In the wake of the tragedy, conspiracy theories began to circulate that the shooting was a hoax. One of the most prominent voices pushing these theories was radio host Alex Jones of Infowars. Jones claimed that the shooting was staged by the government in order to promote gun control. Now, nearly ten years later, Jones was sued for defamation by some of the Sandy Hook families and community and ordered to pay $965 million in compensatory damages.....

But does the ruling have any teeth…..?
