First Tale is "The MacManus Job":

In this episode, I'm covering "The McManus Job," as we dive into a night at the McManus estate that starts with Hailey's parents silently bickering while preparing for guests. Hailey reluctantly joins the preparations in her pyjamas, dealing with her early-arriving uncle and the awkward presence of her clingy ex-boyfriend. As the house fills with relatives and friends, dinner brings laughter despite Hailey's unease...and a particular kind of dread. This is one story with a couple of twists and turns that I know you'll enjoy.

In the first chapter of "The Great God Pan" by Arthur Machen, we are introduced to Dr. Raymond, a brilliant but enigmatic scientist, and his friend, Clarke, who is drawn into a chilling experiment. Set in the isolated and eerie surroundings of Raymond's mansion, the atmosphere is thick with anticipation and dread. Dr. Raymond speaks cryptically of a veil between the known world and an ancient, hidden realm—a veil he intends to lift through a daring procedure.

The experiment centres on Mary, a beautiful and innocent young woman who trusts Dr. Raymond implicitly. As Clarke watches with a mixture of curiosity and horror, Dr. Raymond prepares to perform a surgical operation on Mary's brain, claiming it will enable her to see the true reality of the world, to witness the Great God Pan. The doctor's obsession with unlocking the mysteries of the human mind and the supernatural realms beyond it is palpable, creating a sense of foreboding and mystery.

The chapter ends on a cliff-hanger, with the operation about to commence, leaving readers on the edge of their seats, eager to discover the consequences of Dr. Raymond's bold and perilous venture into the unknown.

I've created Raymond and Maria Stickers just for fun:

A huge thank you for listening you lovelies, and I hope this first chapter really POPS for you!
