I am a software developer with a passion for developing applications to solve real world problems. In early 2019, I decided to take it a step further and joined Nashville Software School. I am eager to learn new technologies and improve on what I have learned. I look forward to joining the community I have grown to love as a Software Developer!

I am a full stack software developer with a background in computer hardware. My love for video gaming as a child led me to become interested in building a gaming PC, and by winter of '07 I had built my first machine. Since then, and until now, my professional career had revolved around computer hardware. My career growth opportunities seemed to stagnate or branch off into paths I was not interested in, so I decided to work towards a career in software development. My journey into software development has reignited my sense of purpose, and I couldn't be more excited to continue to learn and expand my toolbox.

I have worked in a variety of professional fields, which has allotted me a rather diverse and well rounded skill set. As an artist, I am naturally creative and posses the inclination to think "outside the box". One of my biggest strengths, is my ability to self-educate. I have a passion and love for learning and continuously seek to further my knowledge.

Through out my walk in music I've had to deal with computers and software and was always intrigued how they where incorporated in my work. My dad and brother have made careers in web development so the industry has had a huge effect on me. Growing up my dad was always working on some new problem and i wanted to know everything he was doing, as I grew older I had decided to make a career change as my passion for computers and technologies grew in my career, this was a drastic change, but I continue to learn more each day in my pursuit as a full stack Web Developer.

I came to love not only the idea of what I could do with the ability to connect people but also programming itself after babbling into JavaScript. Now I can’t imagine another career path for myself.

John Thielman graduated with Part-time Web Development Cohort Evening 10.

Before starting the full-stack programming bootcamp at Nashville Software School, I tutored high school students in many subjects for standardized test prep, and worked as an alterationist for Eric Adler Clothing. The promise of more complex problem-solving intrigued me, and my experience with natural languages gave me confidence that I could handle the syntax of a computer language. Computer programming is just what I needed to get me out of my rut. It continually surprises and challenges me, and offers more room for creativity than I'd even hoped for.
