A unique podcast. The boys connected with the ladies from the Fire the Cannon Podcast, which is part of the Everyone Gets a Trophy Podcast umbrella. 

Rocky, Hannah, and Meagan are some of the most intense Longhorn sports loving ladies you'll ever meet. 

In fact, their UT sports intellect is higher and deeper than most male Texas Longhorn fans.

From the the Covid debacle to the social injustice movement and the changes on the UT campus, the Fire the Cannon ladies provided some deep and brilliant opinions and takes.

They also addressed some social and humorous topics like dating apps, favorite places to dine and consume beverages in Austin. They were joined by Clynch's special lady friend, Kim as well. Kim is a loyal Longhorn with a wealth of knowledge. Clynch is smitten for sure. haha

The Tom Herman impersonations were on point.

In segment two, there is a special interview with Larry Centers. The pride of Stephen F. Austin State University holds the record for most career receiving yards by a running back in NFL history.

Centers had a hall of fame career and has yet to be voted in and inducted. The always humble Centers discussed that plus his illustrious career and winning a Super Bowl with Tom Brady.

It's quite an accomplishment for the boys, they survived and reached episode 25.

This special episode began with a shoutout to a former Stories Inside the Man Cave guest, Greg Swindell (aka Zeke). The former Texas Longhorn great pitcher and former MLB pitcher, was recently recognized by ESPN as a member of the all-time college baseball team. Zeke was joined another Texas Longhorn great, Huston Street. 

The boys quickly jumped into it with the Covid19 topic in regards to the negative effects of the virus on college athletic programs and how that affects enrollment and the financial portion of colleges and universities generating revenue.

The big debate continues, will there be a college football season? If so, will the entire season not be interrupted by Covid19.

How will this affect seniors who are NFL draft eligible if the college football season is delayed until the spring semester or if the season doesn't occur. 

Segment two includes lengthy and profound interview  with perhaps a presidential candidate in 2036.

The pride of Hutto Hippo's football program, Chase Griffin. The redshirt freshman quarterback at UCLA has the intellect and leadership traits to change the world. Griffin is currently in significant leadership role with the governor of California.

The winds of change are blowing in Austin and across the nation in regards to social injustice and racial equality and both the UT and Oklahoma football programs are leading the charge in demanding societal changes.

The boys opened things up debating this topic and Coach Mo was presented the question, would he have ever imagined initiating change while playing for the Texas A&M and Sam Houston State University football programs.

The issue with improving police departments across the country, what exactly systemically must change and what exactly can be changed? Clynch, Mo, and Mike offer level headed suggestions with a hint of passion and emotion.

Of course, the issue of Covid19 in particular the Austin, TX area which is experiencing a tremendous spike in confirmed cases.

Then there's the issue with Oklahoma State University head football coach, Mike Gundy and his players demanding change within the Cowboys program.

The mood of the episode improved when Shane Buechele entered the Man Cave.

The former Texas Longhorn quarterback who is finishing his college football career at SMU, discussed the generous donation to the City of Dallas he and his longtime girlfriend, Paige Lorenn to benefit Covid19 financial victims.

Buechele talked about his Heisman Trophy campaign as he enters his final season. The pride of Arlington discussed his family's ties to the University of Oklahoma.

Episode 23 wrapped up with a tease of episode 24's guest, former Dallas Cowboys great, George Teague.

Coach Mo was MIA again, working on personal business.

Big Mike and Clynch paid tribute to Coach Mo with a "Wake Yo Ass Up", then immediately aired their emotions towards the horrific death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Not an easy transition to the topic of there is a real possibility the college football season will happen as scheduled. But, the rumor mill is churning about protocol for programs such as the University of Texas possibly limiting the attendance to 40,000 fans.

The boys eventually transitioned to the segment two interview with Brandon Puffer who has an amazing and inspiring story. Puffer's professional baseball career ended on one bad night, one bad decision which involved alcohol and a felon charge. A night which ultimately ended with Puffer serving  a lengthy sentence behind bars.

This is a story Clynch produced during his final days as a tv sports reporter at KVUE.

It was Puffer's faith which turned his life around and to his current life with an amazing wife and family. Brandon shared his journey leading up to this current situation coaching and leading young men in a select baseball program.

Coach Mo took the day off to set up programs for Coach Mo's Elite Fitness off Far West.

So, Clynch decided to invite Todd Dodge to become an honorary co-host. The legendary Texas high school football coach gladly accepted.

Big Mike, Clynch, and the head coach of the defending 6A-II state champions from Westlake talked ball and whether or not the season will happen or not due to Covid19.

Dodge took a dip into history discussing each of his 5 state championship teams during his career.

The boys learned what makes former Westlake great and current Texas Longhorn quarterback, Sam Ehlinger tick.

Dodge and Clynch have a history dating back to the early 2000s when he was the head football coach at Southlake Carroll High School.

The episode transitioned to the segment two interview with the now retired college football officiating great, Cooper Castleberry from Lufkin, TX.

Castleberry made a significant call during a Texas at Texas A&M game in 2003, a one point safety.

Clynch and Big Mike hyped up their episode 22 interview with former Major League Baseball pitcher, Brandon Puffer to Dodge.

Puffer has a tremendous story he loves to share about how one night, one decision can ruin your life. Puffer's deep faith guided him through a jail sentence and to a new life in which he is constantly giving and pouring himself into his community, family and youth baseball.

Clynch, Coach Mo, and Big Mike felt compelled to address the topic which is on everyone's minds in the country and globally, the protests for justice and ending racism towards African-Americans.

The message the boys wanted to emphasize is we all need to have uncomfortable, yet productive conversations in order to make a change in our society.

Big Mike invited his wife, Sara Steinbeck-Murphy, who participated in the protests in Austin last weekend. Sara delivered her perspective describing tensions, tear gas, and described some positive moments of unity.

The boys are NOT anti-law enforcement, instead they voiced their opinion on the force used in cases such as the recent horrific death of George Floyd in Minnesota. Coach Mo described his life experiences as an African-American male in Texas.

The respect for those who serve and protect was expressed, but it's those few bad apples which have created the boiling point in our society on top of the racism.

Former Texas Longhorn football great, Quan Cosby entered the conversation in the Man Cave to offer his perspectives.

Cosby described some tense moments as young child in Mart, Texas and moments being pulled over for a routine traffic stop.

The boys dipped into the ATX sports media talent pool and hooked KEYE Sports Director, Bob Ballou into a guest co-host appearance. Follow Ballou on Twitter:  https://twitter.com/BobBallouSports

It was comical from the beginning, as one would expect. Ballou gave the boys some insight to what it's been like as a local tv journalist during Covid19, working from home.

What Ballou didn't mention was that his birthday was the very next day. So, this was the boys' b-day gift to Bob on the eve of his birthday. Happy B-DAY, BOB!!

The boys shifted to an inspirational interview with former Texas Longhorn football great, Ramonce Taylor. The native of Belton, TX described his roles on those great 2004 and 2005 Longhorn team and winning the national title vs USC in January 0f 2006.

Taylor told the stories about the amazing, strong leadership on those teams namely Vince Young.

Taylor experienced a dark time in his life. One incident which ultimately ended his football career. After experiencing some time behind bars, Taylor eventually righted his life on his own and became a leader of young men and uses his story to influence and guide young men as a positive role model in their lives.

Taylor refers to that period of time as a "dark road" and he never lost focus or fight to find his calling. And, his calling is making an impact on young minds and young football talent through his faith.

Ramonce offered his opinion on why the Longhorns and Aggies aren't playing tackle football anymore, but he said that rivalry must return.

Bob Ballou rejoined the boys in segment 3 to discuss the upcoming Texas Longhorns football team and their chances to have a big season, if the season happens.

And, Ballou mentioned a certain tame photo taken in NOLA during Sugar Bowl week in 2018.
