"Ya'll my friends!"

That's how the boys got it started in this episode. 

Due to the fact there are listeners located in the United Kingdom and across Europe and in the South Pacific, the boys gave shouts out to those listeners and those located in Guam.

The boys did avoid discussing Covid19, which is quite an accomplishment.

Instead, the distilleries, breweries, and wineries in the Texas Hill Country received some love.

Johnny Football (Manziel) received a mention for his near disastrous attempt leaping off a cliff into a body of water.

The episode transitioned to an interview with a former football teammate of Coach Mo, Sammy Davis. Mo and Davis are also family. The two played together at Texas A&M in the early 2000s.

Davis was later selected early in the NFL Draft and began his pro career as a defensive back for the San Diego Chargers.

The former Aggie great discussed his collegiate career and how tough the bonfire tragedy truly was during his freshman season in 1999, leading up to the Texas.

Speaking of the Longhorns, Davis said both schools must find a way to resume the rivalry.

Well, this episode jumped off the rails quickly when the boys began discussing the most frequent curse word they heard at home during their childhood.

That theme continued into their discussion about traveling on airplanes presently and what will be the protocol post Covid19.

But, the energy picked up when the topic of Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley in the recent episodes of the 'The Last Dance' documentary. Barkley captured the 1993 MVP that season.

This episode shifted to baseball or lack thereof when special guest Chris Almendarez stopped by for a visit.

The Round Rock Express President elaborated on the strong possibility and plan of a season not happening. It's also personal because baseball is life for Chris and his family.

Beginning with the death of his father during his latter teenage years. He lost his role model, his father in a car accident. He later married his rock, his late wife, Jana.

They had two sons they raised around baseball. A great life Chris said. Jana lost her battle to breast cancer a few years ago. It's been a struggle for Chris and his sons.

But, it was baseball, the Express, and Nolan Ryan's family which provided therapy.

For the first time in his life, Almendarez and his boys are facing life without baseball due to Covid19. His youngest, Luke was beginning his freshman season of college baseball at the University of Houston and started to gain playing time when the season abruptly ended.

These experiences and his time spent at Dell Diamond forced Chris into deep thoughts and changes to his daily routine which included calling 5 people he cares about per day.

Almendarez placed life into perspective and the positives we can gain in our relationships due to the limitations caused by the Coronavirus.

The boys discussed this and ended episode 17 with the story which isn't a story. When are the Longhorns and Aggies going to play again in football?

The next two episodes include a former Aggie football player in Sammy Davis and former Longhorn football player, Ramonce Taylor. Both of which offer their valued opinions on the rivalry and why is should be played.

In typical fashion episode 16 began with humor and a water spewing moment by Clynch when Big Mike announced that he received a Tweet from a loyal listener that his favorite moment is when Tinder time and Clynch's dating life is discussed. The hashtag #DateClynch remains on the table to push as a viral hashtag.

The boys passed the time before an anticipated interview with Jake Olson by discussing major sports events and moments they'd love to go back in time and witness in person.

Of course, those historical sports moments pale in comparison to Olson's interview and story. 
 
Jake suffered from a form cancer called retinoblastoma beginning at 8-months-old. Olson lost his left eye at 10-months-old and battled the disease 8-times in his eight times before losing his right eye at age 12.

Completely blind, Olson continued with his active life with goals and drive to live a normal accomplished life. He grew up a fan the University of Southern California Trojans football program. He had a dream of one day to play for USC.

And, just like everything else he wanted to achieve, Olson made it happen.

In fact, on September 2nd, 2017 Olson became the first completely blind person to ever play in a college FBS football game. He was the deep snapper and taught himself how to master this skill of snapping to the holder for field goal attempts.

Olson described that special moment and described the feeling of losing to Texas in the 2006 BCS National Title Game as one of the worst moments of his life. 

An inspiring story and an inspiring person who has since launched a company called Let's Engage.

Olson is also a motivational speaker, which is how Clynch met him during a company conference. Olson and dog, Quebec team up during motivational speaking engagements.

There appears to be a light at the end of the Coronavirusa quarantine tunnel. Life is slowly moving towards a form of normalcy, but the guys aren't sure what to think about it.

PGA golf will return soon and to bridge that a member of Austin's royal golf family, Charlie Crenshaw VI entered the Man Cave.

The nephew of golfing great, Ben Crenshaw teaches golf lessons at Avery Ranch Golf Club and makes his own salsa which can be purchased at area HEB grocery story. The salsa is called Crenshaw's C6 Salsa

Crenshaw discussed his golf roots and how he came up with the name of his growing salsa brand and how was able to sell it at HEB.

The boys capped off episode 15 with quick fire questions so you can learn more about the guys on a personal level and their preferences.

Episode fourteen is loaded with content beginning with the most discussed topic outside of Covid19, "The Last Dance", the documentary about basketball's GOAT, Michael Jordan.

The era of wearing face masks in essential businesses, Clynch forgot his mask and utilized his shirt by pulling it up over his nose and mouth.

There is a proposal to kickoff the 2020 college football season in January of 2021. The boys delivered their hot takes and opinions and the pros and cons of that possibility. And, it's a real possibility.

Then there's a proposal for  Major League Baseball's season to take place in Texas at various venues such as the Texas Rangers' new facility, Globe Life Park, Frisco's minor league stadium, Round Rock's Dell Diamond, and Houston's Minute Maid Park.

The highlight of the show, as always is segment two. But, this guest is a hall of fame voice. The voice of the Texas Longhorns, Craig Way chopped it up with the boys and told some stories related to his storied broadcasting career and addressed the elephant in the room, the possibility of college football not happening this fall.

Craig Way's humor was priceless, especially after Clynch referred to the common name he observed at a high school football coaches' clinic. Coaches all address each other, "Hey, Coach. Good to see you, Coach." And Way, described in a way only Craig Way could.

The Man Cave conversations ended with the NCAA allowing incoming student-athletes' test scores requirement for division 1 and division athletes to be waived for the 2020-2021 academic year. The opinions were heated to say the least.

Then of course, the subject of Clynch's dating like surfaced again.

What was suppose to be a special edition with the NFL Network's Jane Slater about the NFL Draft became a Slater career biography mixed with humor and valuable tips on how to succeed in the broadcast industry for young aspiring journalists.

Clynch, Mo, & Big Mike did receive Slater's valued feedback and opinions on the 2020 NFL Draft and the Dallas Cowboys' promising draft class.

In typical Slater form, she delivered some brilliant humor in describing her relationships with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. 

The University of Texas alumnus worked for the Longhorn Network prior to working her way to the NFL Network. She delivered some hot takes on her alma mater's football program and praised Texas Men's Basketball Coach, Shaka Smart.

The interview ended with more humor and Slater received a lifetime access to visit Stories Inside the Man Cave.

It was a 13 theme for the boys. 

The 13th episode provided zero luck for Clynch who stumbled out of the gates. The working from home and the Covid19 quarantine is beginning to effect the minds or its delirium.

There are signs of or hope for normalcy returning on the horizon. Clynch and Mo believe they may have already had the Coronovirus back in January and February.

The guys debate what the new norm will look like in Austin, post coronavirus and how the economy will change along as well as protocols in restaurants and in physician offices.

There is hope for live sports returning. The PGA did state The Colonial in Fort Worth will take place in early June, but without fans.

There was a jab at Clynch's dating life.

That humor led to an appearance by #13, a fan favorite former Texas Longhorn, Jerrod Heard. Jerrod discussed it all from his days leading Guyer High School in Denton to back-to-back state championships in football to his days as a Longhorn under Charlie Strong and Tom Herman. Heard gave us some insight on how energetic Coach Herman truly is. 

Then elaborated on how much he enjoyed playing for former OU and rival head coach, Bob Stoops while on the roster of the now former XFL franchise in Dallas.

The boys closed it out by rambling about how it used to be prior to 9/11 making it all relative to anticipated changes post coronavirus.

The boys seem a bit concerned about the indefinite future of college athletics and the Covid19 affect on non revenue sports. A discussion motivated by the recent decision by the University of Cincinnati dropping their men's soccer program. 

Could this be a trend and will this economic effects cause a seismic change in collegiate athletics? Mo, Mike, and Clynch debate this very topic and the economics of college athletics, namely revenue streams.

To uplift the mood, Daniel Hunter joins the boys in the Man Cave in segment two.

Hunter is the athletic director and head football coach of L.C. Anderson High School. Hunter is a young head football coach of this 5A-I football program.
His journey to becoming a head coach is inspiring. During his childhood, his family experienced significant financial issues and were actually homeless living out of their car. Hunter said his family eventually moved into trailer parks and were dirt poor.

From this experience Hunter learned to find a way to win in life and never accept failure. Hunter eventually earned a scholarship to run track at Mississippi State University as a decathlete. That led him to the coaching industry, a natural fit for him as he mentors and leads young men in life.

An inspiring story, but there are plenty of humorous moments as Hunter has quite a sense of humor.

Episode 12 ends with Mo and Mike cracking on Clynch about his single status and pushing him to start a Bumble account.

Episode 11 was a tad bizarre.

Covid19 struck again, this time with a spotty wifi Zoom signal and Clynch excused himself due to an urgent phone call prior to the  segment two interview with Andrew McKirahan.

Before that debacle, the boys discussed their new quarantining workouts and the fact that shaking hands may be a thing of the past once Covid19 clears up.

The pride of Georgetown, Texas, Andrew McKirahan is among a long list of talented baseball players who are from Georgetown. McKirahan played for Augie Garrido at Texas and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2011. McKirahan was required to have Tommy John surgery in 2012. The pitcher made his Major League debut in 2015 with the Atlanta Braves and finished his pro baseball career in 2018.

McKirahan is back home in the Austin, TX area working for a company called, WIN Reality. A state of the art program which benefits and develops baseball and softball players.

The show ended with a bang, Big Mike and Coach Mo are determined to create a dating profile for Clynch.
