In this episode, Steve, Dr. Jayce, and Ben discuss The Silver Chair and its famous confrontation between the witch queen and Puddleglum, and the sci-fi and fantasy movies that reflect the idea of living in a world that is not reality. They also put on a couple dramatic presentations to do so.

This episode is part of the Strangers and Aliens Year of Lewis. The month of May is devoted to The Silver Chair and The Problem with Pain. You can discuss these books on our Goodreads book club: Our Goodreads group can be found here.

Next week is also the Christian geek podcast theme week. Check out these other podcasts, who will be taking part in the week!

Dr. Jayce, Ben, and Steve start off the summer movie season with the first in their Summer Movie Series: Iron Man Three!!!

Who liked it? Who didn’t? Find out here!

For this episode, we start a series that will take a look at directors of speculative fiction movies, and what better place to start than Steven Spielberg?

Steve, Dr. Jayce, and Ben each go through their favorite three and least favorite three films directed by Spielberg, along with a favorite and least favorite film produced by him.

What Spielberg movie caused Dr. Jayce to want to be an actor?

What Spielberg movie would turn Ben into a blubbering idiot if he ever met Steven Spielberg on the street?

What movies are going to be on one person’s top three favorites and another person’s top three hated?

Is there ANY movie that all three of them can agree on?

Find out in this episode!

In this episode, we talk a bit about the recent Star Wars schedule announcement, some listeners take a look back some of their childhood favorites and look at if they hold up or not (as we did in episode 62), a listener confronts us about some details from our crossover with The Sci-Fi Christian (part one of that conversation can be found here and part two of that conversation can be found here), AND we have a special guest!

The first few episodes of John Wilkerson’s Jesus Geek podcast can be found here: http://bezahlt.podomatic.com

Newer Jesus Geek episodes are here: http://jesusgeek.info/jgpodcast/

In this episode, Steve, Dr. Jayce, and Ben have a LOT of fun as they revisit movies, comics, and TV shows they loved when they were young and explore whether or not it stands the test of time. Favorite heroes are discussed, favorite toys are fondly remembered, and favorite TV shows are not so fondly dissected.

It happened! The Strangers & Aliens and The Sci-Fi Christians have joined forces to take on the Aliens! It’s like the humans and the predators teaming up in those two movies with aliens, humans, and predators!

The topic? The Alien franchise.

But wait! This is just ONE HALF of the awesome! Part two of this epic team up can be found soon on The Sci-Fi Christian’s website — http://thescifichristian.com
