Robyn dropped a new song (after a 7 year break) called "Dopamine" + it sent me into a very real reflection on how much of my life used to run on the chase - the high, the hit, the fantasy of “maybe this is it" (*the thing* that'll SAVE me from my pain/struggle/suffering...lol!).

Ironically, the song dropped THE SAME DAY I was on my way to a ceremony in NYC to take deeper Buddhist commitments (no accidents). And my ceremony fell almost to the day of my 20 year anniversary of moving to NYC in my early 20s. Talk about full-circle moments. 

And it's very clear to me now: the contrast is impossible to ignore.

I'm currently in a chapter of devotion - keeping vows, daily practice, repetition, deepening - not novelty-hopping anymore in ANY area of my life.
