Without a doubt the last 10 months have proved challenging for people worldwide. Even without major personal tragedy (which there has been more than enough of for one year), there are few people who haven’t struggled getting through this year. In times like these it Is easy to dwell on the negative and let ourselves get ground down during these times. Today I want to ask you to think about the flip side: Despite the struggles and frustration of the past year, what good has come of it?

Welcome to the Strive Seek Find Podcast. I’m Chance Whitmore. It’s the Christmas week and and I’m feeling festive. Christmas is my favorite holiday… and its not even close. Which brings me to a little fun today. For those of you who are asking for a more traditional Christmas than 2020 can provide you. I’m asking question: Which parts of Christmas do you consider traditional Again, this is not a comprehensive look around the world, just some things that caught my eye, some of which I think of when I hear people throw out the “War on Christmas" and instead just a quick look at how our Christmas continues to shift… with or without 2020

I’m rolling this rock up a hill. Not so bad. I’m making progress. get closer and close to the top. And just as I get to the top something shoves back hard and down to the bottom of the hill with the rock bouncing in hard pursuit. Till it comes to rest even further down the hill. Maybe the rock has 2020 carved into it. Maybe it represents a habit. Either way that bad boy has kicked our ever-loving rear.
Welcome to the Stive Seek Find Podcast. I’m Chance Whitmore. Sometimes I’m my own worst enemy. A statement that many of us could make for 100 different reasons. Today I want to touch on one: Inertia.
For our purposes today we will use two definitions of inertia.
Inertia: “a property of matter in which it remains at rest or moving on the same straight line unless acted upon by an outside force”
Or
The tendency to not move or change

Welcome to the Strive Seek Find Podcast. I’m Chance Whitmore. So this week brought one of those shocks to the system. A gut punch of sorts that makes you do some self-evaluation. The event, well that’s not my story to tell. Its sufficient to say that this week I got to watch a family’s life to ripped to shreds in such a way that they will never be able to pull the remains into a cohesive whole. And yet I’m not here today to talk about grief. There are so many people that can speak to that more than I.
After the better part of a week of reflection. I find myself back to the simplest of conclusions.
We overlook and ignore the most important things in our life as we are distracted by the world at large.
So today I bring you a simple reminder: Fix it before its too late.

Welcome to the Strive Seek Find Pod cast. I’m chance Whitmore. a little over six months ago I decided that I needed to do a podcast. After one abortive start I launched SSF. Its been challenging, its been exciting , and I wouldn’t trade it. So today to celebrate making it this far I thought I’d reflect a bit.
1)Discuss what I learned
2) look back at where we’ve been
3) look ahead to where we are going..
4) imagine what I’d like to try
So in keeping with the call to arms challenge ourselves to seek our own Brilliant Future…
Let’s get started.

Welcome to the Strive Seek Find Pod cast. I’m Chance Whitmore. I don’t know about you but I’m sensing a little stress anxiety and general worry in the world right now. Whether it’s the election outcome or Covid numbers exploding or 100 other stressors at seem to be more prevalent than ever to feel like life is happening to us.
Now I’m going to say something absolutely ground shaking next: feeling helpless isn’t a healthy way to live. But in dealing with the chaos that seems to be part and parcel of 2020 its important to reclaim some feeling of stability.

Last year at this time I was trying to pull together a trip to DC for my family—COVID was not on our radar. It marked a change in how my family wanted to view gift giving and started the process of getting our kids parental dates to local events. We took them to see an acrobatic troupe at the local college and took them to hear an Irish band visiting our town. It started out awesome and then, canceled. So today I’d thought about the importance of Seeking new experiences out and even how to do it during Covid.

The old saying "when one door closes and another opens" has a lot of truth to it, but if you don't like where that door goes dive out a window. Opportunities come and go at times you don't even notice their passage, while others can leave you with feelings of regret. All that's natural, but today we will discuss adversity and the opportunity that flows from it.

When you hear three times in a week from normal conversations the phrase Civil War mentioned in a non-historical context its a problem. I’m sitting here on Halloween considering the future. This week I walked away from conversations with average people thinking “We must be better.” Today specifically I’m going to talk just a bit about rights and the often forgotten counter point of responsibilities and then post election considerations. This is no time for bystanders.

The best stories pull you and make you feel what happens on the printed page or on screen. Today we are going to look at an example of one of these techniques: suspense. And the example I’m pulling from today is one of my favorites in television the opening episode of Season 1 of the 2004 Reboot of Battlestar Galactica title 33.
