The goings on in football this past week have got us all hot and bothered! No interview so you get a full on Snark battle between me and Jared about pretty much everything that happened in the entire world.
Mike: (pulls out Snark)
Jared: "I see your Snark is as big as mine. Now let's see how well you handle it..."

TIMESTAMPS
1:48 - 24:51
Topics including:
- The Hungarian FA getting a slap on the wrist for many of their fans being racist, homophobic Nazis (surprise surprise)
- The James Rodriguez saga comes to a conclusion (or is it to be continued??)
- The US women kick the shit out of Paraguay (again)
- Derby County are proper fucked
24:51 - 1:06:00
Segments including:
- Domestic Disruptors (how dare they steal the spotlight from our beloved Conference League?!)
- OGOTDs
- Yet another fleeting favorite segment of mine :( [by the way, taking suggestions / bribes for next new segment that will inevitably come true in a matter of weeks]
1:06:00 - 1:11:20
Stoppage time winners / au revoir!
Did I mention I got engaged? Okay, okay, I'll stop.
Fun pod today that runs just about the entire gamut - a roundup of domestic league play highlights around Europe, a bang on interview with another South American (collecting them like Pokemon at this point), and the triumphant return of Ligue UNH check in with Dr. Rodeiro. Plus, some solid OGOTDs and, as I mention in the intro, an actual brain fart as I try to give Jesse Lingard some props for a stoppage time winner but can only let out a few, progressively slower sentence clauses that aren't enlightening or descriptive whatsoever.
But, other than that, it was great! I love you Brooke, this episode is for you :)
TIMESTAMPS
2:02 - 13:28 Intro / topics
13:28 - 1:07:14 Interview with Roberto Loayza
1:07:14 - 1:37:32 Segments, including:
- Get The Sack Or A Pat On The Back
- Ligue UNH check in with Dr. Rodeiro
- Of course OGOTD
- And yet another inevitably short-lived new segment!
Au revoir!
We completely renege on our newfound love for Portugal, sorry Mr. Abreu! There was something in the European water mid-week and we try to make some sense of it - no interview today so you have the pleasure of listening to us drone on for an hour about the insanity that was GS1 of Champs League...and by that I mean mostly ripping on Portugal, Ronaldo, and Manchester Untied. (See what I did there?)
TIMESTAMPS
0:00 - 1:59 Intro / theme song
1:59 - 54:43 The meat and potatoes
54:43 - 1:09:56 Stoppage time winners / au revoir!
If you have no interest in Cristiano Ronaldo and/or anything else Portuguese related, you might as well just skip this one! The stars unfortunately aligned (seriously, not planned) and we not only spend way too much time talking about him in the pod but we also have a guest on who just happens to find his roots in that beautiful Iberian nation. There's also good non-Portugal related stuff in here, we swear! Some quality OGs and homer takes on our clubs but also the death of yet another segment...
TIMESTAMPS
1:54 - 15:26 Intro / topics
15:26 - 51:52 Interview with Nelson Abreu
51:52 - 1:12:03 Segments / au revoir! (including some OGOTDs and cunty haircuts, How We Feel About Being Newcastle / Arsenal Supporters Today [sneak preview - not that bad actually!], and a new segment called "Get The Sack Or A Pat On The Back")
In a Mel Brooks themed episode, we try to keep our cool and laugh through the pain. The US is a struggle bus but at least we didn't have to suspend our game because police occupied the field or our government got overthrown, so I guess it's all about looking at the positives.
Crucial roundup of Matchday 2 of WCQs in most confederations - is Asia just skipping this one? Yet another great interview (from someone who actually has an international cap and goal!) and the return of cunty haircuts, because it's a menace to society (while drinking their juice in the hood) and there are still so many of them out there. Plus, the Turkish and Russian transfer windows are still open so that's giving us a few things to chuckle about and not have to think about Triple G's approach to coaching a really important soccer game.
0:00-23:30 Intro / topics (where we try to be reasonable about this USMNT)
23:30-1:03:53 Interview with Daryl Ferguson
1:03:53-1:33:38 Segments / au revoir! (including The Road to Dohahaha, Cunty Haircut of the Week, OGOTDs, and one last Here We Go)
Great news! Audio issues are officially fixed so now the podcast will actually be bearable to listen to. And just in time, too - we have an actual metric shit ton of football to talk about. Should be easy to find a spare two hours in your pathetic life over the Labor Day three day weekend (except for the one random German person who tunes into the pod, don't think they celebrate the holiday)...
As the Summer 2021 transfer window closes, the September international WCQ window opens! We've got everything you need to stay on top of every single confederation and how they're progressing along in their qualifiers on the road to the meme that is World Cup Qatar. Total recap to the first match day for each - by the way, one of three squeezed into a week since obviously these guys haven't played enough football in the last few months. Plus, a great interview with my Brazilian friend, Renato Macedo, and some FIFA related OGOTDs. And a new segment! Enjoy, team.
0:00-6:20 Intro / topics
6:20-52:00 Interview with Renato Macedo
52:00-1:56:24 Segments / au revoir! (including Rumors and Here We Gos, The Road To Do-hahaha, and OGOTD)
We hit the ground running and don't stop for a full 69 minutes (VERY nice) except to take a quick pit stop in France where some new player with a #30 jersey makes an appearance. Got a great interview but we're bumping it to Thursday - sorry, Buster, we get off on being withholding. And my microphone did that thing where it sounds like I'm behind a three foot thick lead wall, but it corrects halfway through! So turn your headphones up from the start - but don't worry, no surprise audio clip of a screaming Arsenal fan this time so your eardrums are safe. (But I can promise another Arsenal rant, you lucky dogs!) They're pretty much useless but here are the timestamps if you fancy them...
Intro / topics (including Chelsea v. Liverpool and Juventus failure)
0:00 - 15:40
Segments (including European Nonsense Featuring Jared Reback, Rumors and Here We Gos, OGOTD, and Ligue UNH Check in with Dr. Rodeiro)
15:40 - 1:11:27
Au revoir!
1:11:27 - 1:15:54
RED ALERT! RED ALERT! TIME SENSITIVE PODCAST SO LISTEN NOW! 3, 2, 1, LISTEN NOW! DO IT! MAKE THE DEAL! 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, DO IT!!
Seriously, though. It's all hitting the fan and we're taking that shit and flinging it right into your little earbuds. Publishing this at 11 AM EST on Thursday, August 26th - disclaimer that we are not liable for any information that is outdated by the time you tune in. Soooo what are you doing still reading this?! Go! Listen now!! (Oh yeah, not to mention - yet another WORLD CLASS interview.)
0:00-13:09
Intro / topics (including FIFA and the DOJ, and their international window showdown with domestic leagues)
13:09-54:28
Interview with Sebastian Hendi
54:28-1:28:25
Segments (including some wild transfer action, OGOTD, and a new segment "Midweek Nonsense" - also, fuck Mexican fans and their federation)
First and foremost, we experienced some (actual) technical difficulties with today's episode - editing was a nightmare and apparently my microphone was on its "sound as far away as fucking possible" setting. Sorry we're not sorry! Also not apologizing for going over after we promised to keep the length down - our interview ran long but that's a good thing because our guest opens up about some match fixing he personally witnessed as a former professional footballer in Serbia. Plus a chat with JC after the long-anticipated but ultimately super-underwhelming showdown (read: dressing down) between our teams, a bonus Ligue UNH check in, and much more including the return of time stamps!
0:00-21:26
Intro / topics
21:26-1:04:16
Interview with Peja Ilic
1:04:16-1:36:40
Segments (including my chat with JC and Ligue UNH check in with Dr. Rodeiro)
1:36:40-1:41:06
Au revoir!
