Sudden but Inevitable

This week we're joined by Chip from Marvel Canon Madness to discuss what a crew should oughtta do when they come across a stumbling friend. Ricky D also takes a moment to offer an apology, while simultaneously doubting the legitimacy of MCM's followers...Kylie sends us a wave from deep within thematically consistent territory, while the real power of the series really starts to shine through in a moment of true vulnerability from Josh.

Both Bestflix with Ricky D and Marvel Canon Madness have surpassed the 100 follower count, so thank you! Jesse also stopped by Cheap Seat Reviews to discuss "Road to Perdition" this week! And don't miss his upcoming visit to Greenshirt: A Newbie's Trek through The Next Generation! - and give our friends over at What Does It Matter? Podcast a listen!

This week we're joined by Roy, the Intrepid DM to discuss the controversial return of a character from Mal's recent past! Josh hints at some deeply personal pain at the hands of an unknown redhead, while Kylie likes Nathan Fillion, but doesn't like like him. We don't even know where to begin with Ricky D.

Oh and there's a podrace between Bestflix and Marvel Canon Madness going on in-network! And don't miss Jesse's upcoming visit to Greenshirt: A Newbie's Trek through The Next Generation!

This week we're joined by Jake Hartline from hartlineshorts.com to discuss "the torture episode" that doubles as marriage counseling from the future, War Stories. Josh and Kylie disagree with the crew on the episode's rating, though not in a violent way, and Ricky D tells us why this above all others is his absolute favorite episode of them all.

This week we're joined by Shawn from CheapSeat Reviews to discuss the different types of growth and the motivation behind it for the Serenity crew in the episode Ariel. Kylie's shuttle is back and she gives her thoughts on the previous week's ratings, Josh has some fancy new toys, and Ricky D from Bestflix with Ricky D has a subtle message for those who might wish to escape the long arm of the law. We also thank one of our Shepherds of Shine for some downright fancy doodads, just for good measure.

This week we're joined by Cameron Harrison from Greenshirt - A Newbie's Trek Through TNG. We have a mudder of a good time stopping by Jaynestown (despite the smell) and we manage to answer most of Cameron's quiz questions correctly (despite our smell). We also discuss moments in our lives where we received credit we didn't deserve, just like the man they call "Jayne"!

This week we discuss the added weight that some of the dialogue from Firefly has upon rewatching the series, and in the spirit of Jayne's devotion to Vera we talk about some of our own very favorite named possessions. And yes, there's even a little bit more singing!

Our little boat is boarded by our first ever guest, David Black of Spatial Anomaly. His current series, Big Damn Heroics, is a detailed breakdown of the Firefly 'verse, so we thought he'd be the perfect +1 to bring along for our discussion of episode 4, Shindig! Culture clash, ownership, and where the chivalry of certain characters ends are all topics we broached this week, and boy howdy did we have a blast! You can follow David on Twitter, too!

Cap'n Jesse issues some corrections and clarifications from last week (courtesy of the SBI community!) before boarding the drifting colony ship that is "Bushwhacked". Jesse inexplicably slips into a run of football metaphors, while Josh and Kylie attempt to discern which plot lines they've been told about are made up or not. Ricky D helps us all recognize just how attached our newcomers are after just three episodes, and we assign high school stereotypes to half the crew!
