EP#18 Family Time, Work Life Balance

On this episode Nate and Ryan discuss how we balance our family time and work time with life. We both have had high or currently do have high stress jobs that demand a lot out of us. This is an inside look as to how we balance those challenges.  “A false balance is abomination to the LORD; but a just weight is his delight” Proverbs 11:1. Sofsocs is a veteran owned company based out of Pensacola. We engineered these toe socks for extreme conditions, long runs, and hard work. Sofsocs provide a non-slip heel, compression on the foot arch, and individual toe protection to promote good toe splay and prevent blisters.

Each challenge we keep in mind our slogan "Kill it or Will it" - this comes from the idea that sometimes you're trained and ready for the competition and you "kill it." Other times, the unexpected happens and you have to "will it" to get it done.

    FOLLOW US

On this episode of the Suffer UP Podcast, Nate and Ryan share some thoughts on what it looks like to BE A MAN! This world often downgrades what being a man in the home looks like. God has given you as a man, the ability and responsibility to lead your home well. We use the quote “If you can’t lead yourself, how do you expect to lead others.” We hope you find this encouraging as we strive to level up in this area. Thanks for listening!

On this episode, Nate and Ryan discuss ways we carve out time to spend time with God, and finding joy in the activities the Lord has blessed us with. We titled it, "Finding your spiritual outlet" as a way to encourage others to find time in your day to spend with Him. Please don't be mistaken, spending time alone in prayer is always good, but never to replace corporate worship. We hope you find this as an encouragement to you.

EP#13.5 Be Better, Challenges in The Water

Ryan and Nate were between recording sessions and a discussion broke out that was rather passionate. We both stopped mid-sentence and hit record to capture a portion of the passionate conversation. We briefly share something that Nate is doing to challenge his mind and body. He found out recently a mild bout of anxiety while swimming for a prolonged period of time. This is a common activity here at Suffer Up. Challenging each other through hard things. Thanks for listening.

We are honored and thankful for this episode with Scott Dykes. Mr. Dykes found himself in a very difficult time in life. He was involved in a very traumatic vehicle accident and was told by the doctors, "You will never walk again." Mr Dykes shares, very transparently, what that phrase did for him and what he did to achieve a high level of accomplishment. He started with only being able to move his toes, to walking, to running 2 miles, to finishing a marathon, to then later finishing the Skunk Ape 50mile Ultra Marathon! Mr. Dykes is also an author of several books and is currently working on another book. Please enjoy this episode of the Suffer Up Podcast! As Mr. Dykes said in this episode, "I still haven't found my ceiling yet...I am not fast, but I never quit." You are sure to enjoy this one! Thank you Mr. Dykes!
