Quarterback

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 7 Fantasy

Jameis Winston – New Orleans Saints

Jameis Winston and his New Orleans Saints teammates roll into Seattle on Monday night fresh off their Week 6 bye. Winston entered the bye as QB16 averaging 18.66 fantasy points per game. This version of Jameis Winston is not the same as the version we saw finish as QB3 in 2019.

Back in 2019 as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Winston attempted 626 passes, (39/game), this season thru 5 games, Winston is averaging 23 attempts a week and has hit 30 once. Winston known for his interceptions has got that part of his game under control under Sean Payton’s tutelage. The last we saw him start a full season, he tossed 33 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions. This season he is on pace to toss 41 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions.

Facing Seattle in Week 7, the Saints QB is facing the 19th best fantasy defense against the QB position. The Seahawks are middle of the road against the QB allowing 20.1 points per game. They are a different club at home however. In the two games they have hosted this season they have given up 14.58 points to Ryan Tannehill and 17.50 to Matthew Stafford. I see this as a low scoring game the Seahawks find a way to win. I will be sitting Jameis in all 1QB formats in Week 7.

Geno Smith – Seattle Seahawks

During the Seahawks’ Week 5 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, franchise QB Russell Wilson suffered a finger injury that has landed him on IR. The injury could keep him out for upwards of 6-8 weeks. As a result of the injury, backup QB Geno Smith was thrust into the starting role. Yes, that Geno Smith.

Smith was impressive in relief of Wilson, 10/17 for 131 yards, with a touchdown and an interception. Smith put up 10.54 points in less than a half of football. In Week 5 Geno Smith reminded us all that he is still a QB in this league.

In Week 6 his first start in 1413 days, Geno Smith reminded us all why he’s a backup. Geno struggled to generate anything against the Steelers and settled for 10.26 points and a QB25 finish. The Saints are the leagues 2nd best fantasy defense against the QB allowing 15.6 points per game. Sit Geno Smith in all 1QB formants, and only start him in Superflex and 2 QB leagues if there are no other options.

Running Back

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 7 Fantasy

Alvin Kamara – New Orleans Saints

Entering the bye week, Alvin Kamara sat as RB9 with an average of 17.4 PPR points a game. He has been anything but consistent this season. It has been good game followed by bad each week for Kamara including a season low 8 points in Week 2 and a season high 29.20 in Week 5.

Kamara has yet to rush for 1000 yards in any of his 4 pro seasons while making a fantasy living catching passes. In his 4 season’s, Kamara has averaged 5.4 receptions per game. Through 5 weeks in 2021, Kamara is bringing in an average of 3 a game. The back that has never caught less than 81 passes in a season is on pace to catch 51 this season with an extra game played.

The good news is Seattle isn’t a good defense against running backs.

Going into the season people expected this to be a match-up of two teams fighting it out for the top of the AFC playoff picture. Things have not gone the way the Titans planned, but they are still 3-2 at the top of their division, and the Bills are 4-1 at the top of theirs.

This has the potential to be a shootout, but gives up plenty of IDP value to go with that offensive value. Let’s get into who we would start and sit this week!

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 6 Fantasy: Defensive Linemen – Jeffery Simmons

Jeffery Simmons – Tennessee Titans – Start

Simmons is a top 10 IL on the year, and that is higher in pure DT leagues. He does not have a good match-up, the Bills are in the bottom 10 with points allowed to defensive tackles, but I would still start him.

Ed Oliver & Star Lotulelei – Buffalo Bills – Start

Neither have done a lot on the year; Ed has 10 solos, 1 assist, and 3 TFL, while Star and 5 solos, 2 assists, 1 TFL, and 2 sacks. The Titans though have given up the 2nd most points to opposing defensive tackles this year. This is a good spot start for both, but even then expectations should be tempered.

Gregory Rousseau – Buffalo Bills – Start

Rousseau has had growing pains line any young player, but he already looks like a steal with the 30th pick in the 2021 draft. He has always been long on talent, but has worked hard to gain playing time and is making plays with it. Last week against Kansas City he not only had a sack and an interception (don’t count on that again), but showed very well against in the run and with containing the edge. He had 4 solos, 1 assist and 1 TFL to go with his big plays. Tennessee gives up the 2nd most points to opposing defensive ends, so he is a must start for me this week.

Harold Landry – Tennessee Titans – Start

Landry is once again playing in the 90s for snap share most weeks this season (like he did so many times last year). He is a top five edge so far this year and a must start.

Anyone Else – Both Teams – Sit

Landry is the only real Edge regularly seeing the field for Tennessee with Bud Dupree out, and none of them are worth starting. Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison are old veterans that see the field, with Carlos Basham Jr and AJ Epenesa are a rookie and second year player, respectively, for Buffalo. They with Rousseau are all in one big rotational mess and outside of Greg they have not done anything close to consistently. One or two may hit, but good luck figuring it out,

Quarterback

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 6 Fantasy

Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills

There are some players that you will employ on your fantasy rosters week in and week out regardless of matchup or scenario. One of those players is Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen. Allen took a major step forward last season and became an every week starter. After a slow start to the season in which he averaged 17.43 points in the first two weeks, Allen has bounced back to elite QB status the past three weeks.

Josh Allen was the QB18 through 2 weeks, and QB2 in Weeks 3-5. Life is hard enough full of difficult daily decisions. Starting Josh Allen shouldn’t be one of them. Start Allen with absolute confidence weekly. The fact that the Titans are 4th worst in the league against opposing QBs just makes this opportunity even juicer.

Ryan Tannehill – Tennessee Titans

Ryan Tannehill emerged as a week-in week-out starting QB after he won the job in Tennessee. From Week 7 through the end of the year in 2019, Tannehill was QB3 averaging 22.50 points a game. In 2020, Tannehill finished the season as QB7 averaging 21.90 points per game. This season after five weeks, he sits at QB20, averaging 17.21 points a game.

Facing the Bills this week, you likely have to start him if you roster him, but I would advise against it if you have a viable option to do so. I have Tannehill ranked 14th this week. Starting him won’t kill you, but he won’t win you this week either. I would prefer to start Taylor Heinicke, Joe Burrow, and Sam Darnold this week.

Running Back

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 6 Fantasy

Zack Moss / Devin Singletary – Buffalo Bills

After being a somewhat surprising healthy scratch in Week 1, Bills RB Zack Moss has been a consistent PPR producing back averaging 14.45 points a game. His high on the season is 18.10 and his low is 12.10. If you start Zack Moss you can bank on double digit fantasy points. The Titans are yielding 22.5 points a game to opposing backs, so I am starting Moss here without question.

Devin Singletary finished Week 1 as RB29 with 11 PPR points. Since then his average has dropped to 8.4 points a game and down to 5.5 over the past three outings. Devin Singletary is being phased out of the Bills’ lineup and should be phased out of you lineup as well. Sit Devin this week.

Derrick Henry / Jeremy – Tennessee Titans

Josh Allen, as I mentioned earlier, is one of those set it and forget it fantasy assets. Derrick Henry might very well be the poster child. Henry is a monster, a back that is in your lineup weekly regardless of who, what, or where he is playing. Last season, Derrick Henry became the 8th running back in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season. Henry finished with 2,027 yards on 397 touches and scored 17 times.

In 2021, he is on pace for 530 touches, which is pure insanity. The best part of rostering Derrick Henry is his work in the passing game. Henry is 5 catches away from tying his career high of 19 receptions and its only Week 6. You don’t need me to tell you that Derrick Henry is a slam dunk start each and every week.

The 1-3 Indianapolis Colts take on the the 3-1 Baltimore Ravens this week for Monday Night Football. It is still early, but these teams seem to be going in opposite directions. The end of the football week can leave you with some tough decisions if you had an earlier player unexpectedly sit out, but never fear! There is always IDP value to be found on Monday Night Football, so let’s find some for Week 5!

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 5 Fantasy: Defensive Linemen – DeForest Buckner

DeForest Buckner – Indianapolis Colts – Start

The Ravens do not give up a lot of points to opposing defensive tackles (bottom six for the year) but Buckner is a stud that always impacts the game even if it is not in the box score. With how much the Ravens run I do not want to sit him even given the less than stellar match-up.

Grover Stewart – Indianapolis Colts – Sit

Stewart has not done much this year and has declining snap counts over the first four weeks. No real interest here given the poor match-up.

Calais Campbell – Baltimore Ravens – Start

Calais has 8 solos, 5 assists, and 2 TFL on the year. He leads the Ravens IL

The Rest – Baltimore Ravens – Start

Broderick Washington and Brandon Williams each have less than 6 combined tackles on the year. Do not play them.

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 5 Fantasy: Edge – Odafe Oweh

Odafe Oweh, Justin Houston & Tyus Bowser – Baltimore Ravens – Sit

When all three play as expected this week they all get snaps in the high 50% – low 70% area which creates a mess; there is not even a consistent rotation in terms of who getes the most snaps when all three play. The Colts are an ok match-up for EDGE rushers, but all three are big play dependant. If I had to pick one it would be Odafe, followed by Houston and then Bowser (in that order) but I am sitting them all unless forced to.

Tyquan Lewis & Kemoko Turay – Indianpolis Colts – Sit

Turay played in Weeks 2, 3 and 4 but did not register a stat until Week 4 (which was a good week, with 2 solos, 1 assist and 2 sack). Lewis has played in all four games and has 4 solos, 1 assist, 1 TFL and 1 PD over them; that’s combined. I don’t like either, but give me Turay if you are forced to start one or the other.

Darius Leonard & Bobby Okereke – Indianapolis Colts – Start

Okereke has more combined tackles (28 to Darius’ 25) but Darius has more big plays (TFL, sacks, forced fumbles, etc) so Darius has the better season in most leagues. The Ravens are in the top 10 in points allowed to opposing linebackers so I like both this week.

Carson Wentz – Indianapolis Colts

Carson Wentz is hobbling along this season for Indianapolis, literally. Wentz continues to start for Indy despite injuries to both his ankles. After four weeks of action, Carson Wentz sits at QB29 averaging 15.7 points a week. The Ravens are top-10 defense vs the QB position this season. Sit Carson Wentz.

Lamar Jackson – Baltimore Ravens

Despite a mess of a backfield and a laundry list of WRs on IR to open the season, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson enters Week 5 as QB9 averaging 23 points per game. Indianapolis has allowed 21.4 points per game to the opposing QB, but it doesn’t matter you are starting Lamar Jackson every week regardless of the situation.

Running Back

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 5 Fantasy

Jonathan Taylor / Nyheim Hines / Marlon Mack – Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor as not starting the 2021 season, the way he ended the 2020 season. Taylor was a beast to close out last season and hadn’t done much of anything until going over 100 yards and scoring his first TD of the season last week. Hard to sit JT this week or any week, so don’t. Get him in your lineup.

Nyheim Hines is a flex play this week. If the Colts are to trail, which I believe they will, then the negative game script benefits Hines. If you need a flex he’s a viable option. Marlon Mack barring injury and a time machine, has no fantasy relevance and he should have been dropped weeks ago.

Latavius Murray / Ty’Son Williams, Le’Veon Bell/ Devonte Freeman – Baltimore Ravens

Latavius Murray is the lead back for the Ravens, I guess? Suggesting starts and sits here is a little challenging, mainly because none of the backs are anything special, and I am not sure who will be active. Indy has been solid this season allowing a total of 18.2 points, (6th best) to opposing RBs.

If Latavius and Williams are active they are a flex play type start. Bell is a sit and drop Freeman.

Wide Receiver

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 5 Fantasy

Michael Pittman / Zach Pascal / Parris Campbell – Indianapolis Colts

With Wentz banged up and Jonathan Taylor struggling, you would think that the WRT crew has stepped up to carry this team. Well, its a nice theory. Pittman leads the way at WR32, followed closely by Pascal as WR32. If I have to pick one it would be Pittman, as Pascal is a little TD dependent for me. Both are a flex paly and Campbell has no business being on your roster let alone your starting lineup.

Marquise Brown /Sammy Watkins – Baltimore Ravens

Let’s keep this simple. Start Marquise Brown, and sit Sammy Watkins. Brown has been the WR we all were hoping he would be when he was selected in the first round of the 2019 draft. Brown is sitting at WR13 entering the week and looks to be the only viable WR for Jackson. Watkins is healthy thru 4 weeks, and that’s about it. He’s WR49 and a desperation flex.

Week 4 Monday Night Football brings us the surprising 3-0 Las Vegas Raiders (tied with the Broncos for first in their division) facing off against the 2-1 Los Angeles Chargers. Divisional match-ups are are always fun as you have two teams that know each other very well both vying for an early season advantage in divisional tiebreakers. Will the Raiders keep up their hot streak or will the Chargers continue their divisional win streak after beating the Chiefs last week?

Either way there will be IDP players worth starting in the game, and I am here to help you identify which ones I feel are the best plays. So let’s get to it!

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 4 Fantasy: Defensive Linemen

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 4 Fantasy – Quinton Jefferson

Quinton Jefferson – Las Vegas Raiders – Sit

Quinton has a plus matchup and has had at least a solo each week. He sits at a 60% snap share average and is the best regular interior linemen for the Raiders. He has also graded out well in tackling and pass rushing. It isn’t a great match-up, but I think he is the best IL/DT option on the slate this week.

Linval Joseph & Christian Covington – Los Angeles Chargers – Start

These two do not inspire a lot of confidence, but IL/DT required leagues make you dig deep and the Raiders give up the third most points to opposing defensive tackles. Both of these guys have at least 2 combined tackles each week and have played at least 49% (Joseph) and 53% (Covington) of snaps this year. If you are playing waiver wire roulette, neither of these are bad options.

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 4 Fantasy – Joey Bosa

Kyler Fackrell and Uchenna Nwosu – Los Angeles Chargers – Sit

Of these two, neither have played a lot year and neither have produced starter-worthy numbers. Sit them both.

Joey Bosa – Los Angeles Chargers – Sit

Ok, they say don’t sit your studs. If you don’t have a viable replacement, I would play him, but Joey isn’t fully healthy, and the Raiders do not give up a lot of points to defensive ends this year. He has only had one decent week (Week 1). Weeks 2 and 3 he combined for 3 solos, 3 assist, and half a sack. I don’t like the matchup and his current situation.

Yannick Ngakoue – Las Vegas Raiders – Sit

Yannick has two solos and 4 assists in three games. Week 3 was his highest snap count of the year at 73% and he only had 1 assist. He is big play dependent and not getting it done. Bench him this week.

Maxx Crosby & Solomon Thomas – Las Vegas Raiders- Start

Maxx had a big Week 1, an alright Week 2, and a poor Week 3. If one of the starters produce on the edge for the Raiders, it will be him. The Chargers are slightly better than middle of the road in points given up to opposing defensive ends, and he is much more likely to get your tackles than Yannick.

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 4 Fantasy

The first three Monday Night matchups have been good for fantasy scoring. In Week 1, the Ravens and Raiders overtime thriller produced some high scores; Week 2 it was Aaron Jones popping off for over 40 PPR points, and in Week 3 it was Ezekiel Elliott bouncing back with over 23 points. Week 4 is full of viable fantasy assets and should this game go as planned (over/under 52.5), we should be in for a great game and a lot of fantasy production.

Hopefully you entered Week 4 looking to go 4-0. If you are 0-3, you need to start winning now. It is time to start those players in your weekly lineup that have the highest ceiling. If you start 0-4, you will need to go on a nice run to finish the season in your league playoffs, 6 losses is the typical cutoff point in 12-team leagues.

Quarterback

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 4 Fantasy

Derek Carr – Las Vegas Raiders – Start

Entering Week 4, Derek Carr leads all quarterbacks in passing yards with 1,203. He is completing nearly 65% of his pass attempts and has 6 touchdown passes compared to 2 interceptions. Carr is sitting at QB9, averaging 23.81 points/game. He has been extremely consistent this season with weekly finishes of QB9, QB8, and QB11.

Carr and his Raiders look to go to 4-0 for the first time since 2002 when they visit the Chargers. LA has been tough on opposing quarterbacks this season, limiting them to only 13.89 points (7th best in the league). The Chargers have held Dak Prescott and the combo of Tyler Heinicke and Ryan Fitzpatrick to under 11 points and held the league’s best QB, Patrick Mahomes, to 25 points last week. There are plenty of reasons to try to avoid Carr this week. I am, however, starting him in a game in which I think they lose but score a bunch of points.

Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers – Start

In 2020, Justin Herbert rode a surprise Week 2 start all the way to a QB9 season in which he averaged 22.86 points and scored 342.84 points total. Three games into the 2021 season and Justin Herbert is the QB13, averaging 20.65 points a game. Herbert has had a nice start to the season in his new offense, and it should be even better if not for the penalties that have called back 5 additional touchdown passes. He is a must start QB, and facing the Raiders who have held opposing QBs under 19 points a game doesn’t change that. Start Herbert this week with confidence.

Running Back

Start or Sit These Players on Monday Night to Win Week 4 Fantasy

Josh Jacobs /Kenyan Drake /Peyton Barber – Las Vegas Raiders – Sit

When it comes to start and sit decisions that involve Monday Night games, you best be sure you are aware of who is active and who is not, as your options are limited to two rosters vs the 26-28 you have to choose from any given Sunday. Josh Jacobs is working his way back from a turf toe injury and it looks like he is going to be dressed Monday. Normally when a team gets their top RB back in the lineup, he is an easy start. In Las Vegas’ situation, we have no idea how the workload is going split among Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, and Peyton Barber. Sit them all and start your backs playing on Sunday.

Austin Ekeler – Start

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 3 Fantasy

Ah yes, another week of Monday Night Football for us! This one features teams that had players disappoint overall in Week 2 with the Dallas Cowboys (my favorite team…yes feel free to boo here) and Philadelphia Eagles. Both sides have lost players on defense though and this week has that same shootout potential. What does that mean for how we feel about their IDP players? Well let’s get into it!

Defensive Linemen

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 3 Fantasy – Javon Hargrave

All Interior Defensive Linemen – Dallas Cowboys – Sit

I do not trust any of these players to get you fantasy production you would want to have on your team, much less starting for you. Leave them all on the waivers and we will move on.

Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave – Philadelphia Eagles- Start

Hargrave has had a great start to the year and is playing just a few snaps fewer a game than Cox. Cox deservedly so gets most of the attention, but I like Hargrave more this week based on what he has done this year and his flying under the radar. It is not a great match-up for either, but there is potential for some TFL as Ezekiel Elliott has not looked great and Dallas will try to run with him. The Dallas offensive line continues to have issues.

Edge

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 3 Fantasy – Josh Sweat

Josh Sweat and Derek Barnett – Philadelphia Eagles – Sit

Barnett only seems to show up for fantasy football when you do not expect it, so look for a big game here. Seriously though, he is too inconsistent for me to want to start him in fantasy. He has three combined tackles each of the first two weeks; the two TFL Week 1 made it a decent week but I just do not like starting players with long histories of inconsistency when they play.

Sweat just got a three year, $40 million extension and long-time starter Brandon Graham is out for the year, but Sweat has been inconistent as well. He had 6 assists Week 1 and nothing in Week 2. Dallas does not give up a lot of points to Edge players, so I am sitting both.

Micah Parsons and Randy Gregory – Dallas Cowboys – Start

Gregory is supposed to return after being on the COVID list last week and I only really like hime beacuse they moved Parsons to Edge as well due to the number of injuires Dallas has had there. Both are extremely long, athletic players that could get to Jalen Hurts. Parsons has more tackling upside, but with Parsons probably getting more attention I like Gregory as a sneaky Edge play this week.

Linebackers

Leighton Vander Esch and Jaylon Smith – Dallas Cowboys – Start

Ok this remains a mess.

Jaylon Smith: 8 solos, 5 assists (51% snap share)Keanu Neal: 6 solos, 3 assists, 1 TFL (74% snap share)Leighton Vander Esch: 6 solos, 3 assists, 3 TFL, 1 sack (38% snap share)

Vander Esch has been the most productive for fantasy, but has played the least. He and Jaylon Smith were mainly the rushing down linebackers, with Keanu Neal and Parsons the passing down linebackers...

The first two Monday Night matchups have been good for fantasy scoring. In Week 1, the Ravens and Raiders overtime thriller produced some high scores, and last Week in Green Bay, Aaron Jones went off for over 40 PPR points. Week 3 looks like another potentially high scoring game with plenty of relevant fantasy assets on each team

Jalen Hurts – Philadelphia Eagles – Start

Jalen Hurts was my start of the week in Week 1 and he delivered, finishing with 28.76 points. I had Hurts as a start again last week and he struggled against San Francisco throwing the ball. He was 12-of-23 passing for 190 yards and no touchdowns.

The good news is he made up for it with his legs. Hurts had 10 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown, and in his two weeks combined he has 17 carries for 144 yards and 1 TD. After two weeks, Jalen Hurts is averaging over 25 points a game and is the QB6 overall.

Dallas has been good against the QB thus far this season, holding the opposing signal caller to 20.2 points a game. It is important to note that the Cowboys have yet to face a mobile QB. Tom Brady and Justin Herbert combined for 4 carries and 12 yards. Jalen Hurts had 19 fantasy points against Dallas last season (69 rushing yards), and I expect him to be even better on Monday night. I have Hurts ranked 5th this week and he is a must start for me.

Dak Prescott – Dallas Cowboys – Start

After the Week 1 performance in Tampa Bay (42/58, 403 yards, 3 TDs), it appeared that Dak Prescott picked up right where he left off after suffering a season ending ankle injury in 2020. After Week 2 versus Los Angeles, I now have some doubts.

I am not looking for Dak to throw the ball 60 times a week, but I am looking for more from him on the ground. Prescott has never been a Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray running the football, but he was a QB that I would have considered mobile. Entering this season, Prescott has a 16 game pace of 60 carries for 305 yards and 6 scores. Through two weeks this season, that 16 game pace is sitting at 32 carries for 104 yards and no scores.

Dak is still in my top-12 this week, he is just closer to the back (10th) than the front. The Eagles have played well as a defense and held Matt Ryan to 7.36 points and Jimmy Garoppolo to 19.56 in their two outings this season. With all the weapons surrounding Dak, he is near impossible to sit. Start Dak this week and hope he attempts more than the 27 passes he attempted in Los Angeles in Week 2.

Miles Sanders sits at RB22 after two weeks, averaging 12.1 PPR points/game. Sanders is living up to his RB2 status so far. Miles Sanders has company in the Eagles backfield yet again this season.

I think the old adage of “Do not overreact to Week 1” may need to get extended to Week 2 now that we are having a 17 game NFL season. With teams having starters play even less than before in the preseason we are seeing a lot of weird games even this week. With some games blowing up in scoring that we did not expect to see on both sides (Minnesota vs Arizona) and some lower scoring games that most expected (Dallas vs LA Chargers and Philadelphia vs San Francisco).

There is a lot we have yet to learn this season and that is even more true on the IDP side where we have had bunches of injuries and more rotations than expected.

With that said let’s get into who we think will help take you home to that fantasy football win on Monday Night Football!

Defensive Linemen

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 2 Fantasy – Kenny Clark

Entire Defensive Line – Detroit Lions – Sit

This feels like a bit of a cop out, and it is, but with the Lions switching to more of a base 3-4, I do not want anything to do with the 3 in the 3-4, as they are in a heavy rotation. Now if you still have leauges where Trey Flowers and Romeo Okwara are listed as defensive lineman, I am fine starting them. They will play standing up and with a hand in the dirt, but going off how the team classifies them, I am going over them in the linebackers

Kenny Clark – Green Bay Packers – Start

Kenny Clark is the only defensive linemen, as classified by their teams, that I want to start. He can play all across the line for the Packers, and had a nice game for DT/IL player, with 3 solos and 2 assits in Week 1. With the Lions expected to run a lot he will have plenty of chances to match that, and even get on the board with a TFL or two. If the Packers offense gets going he will have a chance to get to Goff too.

Linebackers

Start or Sit These IDP Players on Monday Night to Win Week 2 Fantasy -Alex Anzalone

Jamie Collins Sr – Detroit Lions – Sit

Collins did not look great this preseason and that continued into Week 1 where he only played 67% of the snaps. He ended with 3 solos and 2 assists which is not what you want in a starting linebacker. Jamie is more of a veteran prescene on this team than a reliable fantasy option.

Alex Anzalone – Detroit Lions – Start

Anzalone played 100% of the snaps and while he did not show well on the stat sheet, he is the signal caller and the Lions best coverage linebacker (of their starters). He will be busy this week and with the Packers offensive line struggling I do not think he will have the same issue in getting on the stat sheet that he had last week.

Krys Barnes & De’Vondre Campbell – Green Bay Packers – Start

Campbell played 93% of snaps last week with Barnes getting 78%. Barnes had the better week for fantasy (7 solos and 1 assist to Campbell’s 5 solos and 1 assist) but both did alright. I expect Detroit to continue to try and run the ball, which makes both viable starters.
