SUNANDBASS Podcast

We've only bloody hit #100! Thanks to everyone that's been with us from the start, and if you haven't, well you have plenty to catch up on - and what better a time for it.

To celebrate, we've got a right lippy little gobshite of a mix from ever-brilliant DLR. Skanking it's way across your stereoscape, DLR has provided an asbolute stinker for us. If this doesnt make you wanna bust out of lockdown for a dancefloor sweat-out, well, we'll just give up now.

This month is Sofa King Sick LP month, a VA LP consisting of artists from over 8 different countries, many different dnb styles and sounds, a quality selection of beats and bass.

Sampler 1 is out now - DLR, Script & MC Fokus - Perception // Thematic - TDM - fanlink.to/ssdigi011

DLR is otherwise working on a plethora of projects, from The Sauce Recordings & Sofa Sound, to an exciting, and fitting project to raise money-for, and awareness-of hate crimes and racism.

He's a good egg. We like him.

'Let me take you on a trip. A journey full of sound and beats. One that will lead you down....'

No it's not another quiz, but I bet you can finish that sentence...

The remaining lyrics of that couldnt be more fitting for the current situation we all find ourselves in, but not least for the wicked path that our very own Acite takes us on in this months podcast. I think we are overdue a little bouncy lifter on the podcast and Mo does a lovely job of it in this.

Turn the lights off, set one of your flatmates on flicking the light switch on and off duty, and get on that living room dancefloor NOW. It's time for a floorfiller. Huge love to you all in the form of the genre we all love and depend on for solace : )

Lyndon Jarr of Unchained in Asia graces us with some of the sounds he's delivering out in China and beyond. The growing label and events company has a far stretching roster of artists that produce and playout across the region, and is well worth an explore.

Lyndon's mix is plentiful of dubs, dishing out a brilliant cross section of what he's using to spread the genre-love across the Asia region.

We love a good over indulge in December but I dont get this fun-deficit everyone seems to lay on themselves for January....

Well, there shall be no famine here! Danny Wheeler has wound up one firecracker of a mix for us to kick off 2020. So whether you're pounding the treadmill or weaping in your cave, I know I cant see a better foot to get stepping with than this lively mojo tickler from DW. Merry New Year SUNANDBASSites.

Move aside carefully crafted NYE playlists, a Bryan G shaped grenade has been pulled and it's headed square at your pre-drinks - aHhHhghGhHggfnjsfnrwonfroh!!!!

V Recordings bossman has laid up some stonking beach sets for us over the years and 2019 was not one he held back on. Burdened with bangers, Bryan G's record bag erupted at La Cinta on the Monday, and it's time re-open pandoras box. . .

Happy New Year from all of us at SUNANDBASS. In another year full of political travesty, our genre still reigns supreme for love & escapism, and you guys help us make the ultimate forum for it. Truly, big up.

Big. Bad. And Heavy. From Bcee sunshine to gazebo dirt, we had to take you on a bit of a journey this month, and few sets tick off the late-night gazebo grit as well as @Mantra and @Djinn feat. @Blackeye and @Double-O . It's not hard to put yourself back in the sweatbox for the graveyard shift steppers...

No matter how dutty you love your gazebo wobblers, there is no denying how well ball-tickling liquid pairs with paradise. Kick back, shut ya lids, and put yourself back into the Garden of Ambra Night with the Spearhead Bcee (@spearheadrecords) alongside @tempza and @charlottehaining.

One of our favourite things over the course of SUNANDBASS week is the buzz around certain sets and people’s hype of the people that have killed it so far. Kim’s was one of those this year that so many people mentioned, and she’s kindly allowed us to publish it as part of this live series. Fulla bangers and tightly knitted, it’s @delahaye for Podcast 91.
