By Grace, your Heavenly Father has empowered you! Despite your current situation or challenges you might be facing; God has ordered your steps to fulfill His plan and purpose for your life. The problem we run into is that we feel unworthy of this responsibility. We feel disqualified by our past and unfit to be used by God. That is a view that is devoid of God’s grace.

God desires transformation in the life of faith. That we would cooperate with Him in the growing of our faith. By grace, we come to faith through Christ. But God is not content leaving us like we were, God desires transformation, to bring out His best in us. Transformation is a God-led change of heart and life moving the believer from the old way of living into the new way of living.

Christ saves us by grace, freeing us from the eternal penalty of sin. But He also works with us in our daily lives to free us from the power of sin, making us like himself to experience the abundant life of holiness. Paul calls us to present ourselves to the lordship of Christ to find true freedom to be our true selves.

By grace, God always disciplines from a place of love, meant for our good. God is not arbitrary or random in the way He disciplines, the purpose is always to make us more like Christ. But, if we don’t have an accurate understanding of God’s character, then we will perceive God’s discipline as a sign that He’s disappointed with us. We can actually reject His discipline because we don’t feel like He’s being a good God.

Busyness exposes what we value, more than our words, because it shows how our time is really being spent. We have less time with family at the dinner table. Faith takes a back seat. And friends become acquaintances. Our calendars expose how we’re stewarding the resource of our time.

Have you ever gotten a case of the “somedays” in your faith, where you get caught in the trap of delaying your own spiritual growth. We delay our spiritual growth, putting it off for a future date. If we truly desire to grow in our faith then we need to stop putting off our personal growth and accept the opportunity God has for us in the present moment. In his letter to the Romans, Paul says the believer should be transformed by having their mind renewed.
