  • Love is a Verb
    Armor Bearers - Week 3:  November 15, 2020
    Love is a Verb
    Romans 12:9-21
9 Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. 11 Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. 12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. 13 When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them. 15 Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! 17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. 18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. 19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the LORD . 20 Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” 21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. ~Romans 12:9-21 (NLT)

FOUR responsibilities of a faithful Christ-follower:

    1. Personal Responsibilities

We must be genuine and authentic in our relationships with others.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. ~1 Corinthians 13:4-8

We need to depend on the Holy Spirit to direct our thoughts and actions.

    2. Family Responsibilities

We need to set aside our pride and selfishness to accomplish genuine love.

We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? 18 Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. ~1 John 3:16-18

    3. Responsibilities to others

Sympathy and compassion are powerful tools in the Christian’s “toolbelt.”

God leveled the playing field of status when Jesus died on the cross for ALL of us.

    4. Responsibilities to those who consider us enemies

Paul tells us NOT to pay back evil with evil AND to do things in such a way that people see us as honorable.

Three reasons why we need to take care of and bless our enemies:
    1) Jesus commanded it.
    2) Jesus practiced it.
    3) People will notice it.

If we’re willing to see the world through God’s perspective, we’ll be able to discern what is truly good.
8 Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. 9 Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing. 10 For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. 11 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. 12 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.” 13 Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. 17 Remember, it is better to suffer for doing good, if that is what God wants, than to suffer for doing wrong! ~1 Peter 3: 8-17

This is part of a life-long process of the renewing of our mind (also known as sanctification), where we all grow at our own pace with the help of the Holy Spirit.

  • Experiencing True Rest
    Armor Bearers - Week 2 - November 8, 2020

    Experiencing True Rest

    Mark 6; Genesis 2, Matthew 11, Psalm 46, John 16

    FOUR truths about rest:

    1. Rest Is Natural

“Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”  ~Genesis 2:7 (NIV)

“So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.”  ~Genesis 2:21-22 (NIV)

God Does His Best Work When We Are At Rest

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”  ~Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)

    2. Rest Is About Being Rather Than Doing

Rest Can Be Found In The In-Between Moments Of Our Everyday Activities

“He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’ ” ~Psalm 46:10 (NIV)

“Immediately Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. After leaving them, he went up on a mountainside to pray”   ~Mark 6:45 (NIV)

“Later that night, the boat was in the middle of the lake, and he was alone on land. He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them. (Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them,)”  ~Mark 6:47-48 (NIV)

To Experience True Rest, We Must Experience Unrest.

“(He saw the disciples straining at the oars, because the wind was against them). Shortly before dawn he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, but when they saw him walking on the lake, they thought he was a ghost. They cried out, because they all saw him and were terrified. (Immediately he spoke to them and said ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’)”  ~Mark 6:48-50 (NIV)

    3. Rest Is Refusing To Let Our External Circumstances Determine Our Internal Perspective

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”   ~John 16:33 (NIV)

    4. Rest Is Found Only In Jesus Christ

“(because they all saw him and were terrified.) Immediately he spoke to them and said, ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’ Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed.”  ~Mark 6:50-51 (NIV)

  • From the Heart: A Message About Worship
    Armor Bearers - Week 1:  November 1, 2020

    From the Heart:

    A Message About Worship

    Worship = worth-ship.

We worship God because he is the only One worthy

“Stay here with the donkey,” Abraham told the servants. “The boy and I will travel a little farther. We will worship there, and then we will come right back.”  ~Genesis 22:5

    What is worship?

Worship is a response to what God is doing

Then David said, “This will be the location for the Temple of the Lord God and the place of the altar for Israel’s burnt offerings!” ~1 Chronicles 22:1

17 Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to assist Solomon in this project. 18 “The Lord your God is with you,” he declared. “He has given you peace with the surrounding nations. He has handed them over to me, and they are now subject to the Lord and his people. 19 Now seek the Lord your God with all your heart and soul. Build the sanctuary of the Lord God so that you can bring the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant and the holy vessels of God into the Temple built to honor the Lord’s name.”

    ~1 Chronicles 22:17-19

6 All these men were under the direction of their fathers as they made music at the house of the Lord. Their responsibilities included the playing of cymbals, harps, and lyres at the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman reported directly to the king. 7 They and their families were all trained in making music before the Lord, and each of them—288 in all—was an accomplished musician. ~1 Chronicles 25:6-7

10 When the builders completed the foundation of the Lord’s Temple, the priests put on their robes and took their places to blow their trumpets. And the Levites, descendants of Asaph, clashed their cymbals to praise the Lord, just as King David had prescribed. 11 With praise and thanks, they sang this song to the Lord: He is so good! His faithful love for Israel endures forever!” Then all the people gave a great shout, praising the Lord because the foundation of the Lord’s Temple had been laid. 12 But many of the older priests, Levites, and other leaders who had seen the first Temple wept aloud when they saw the new Temple’s foundation. The others, however, were shouting for joy. 13 The joyful shouting and weeping mingled together in a loud noise that could be heard far in the distance. ~Ezra 3:10-13

    Worship is communication

24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” ~John 4:24

We worship in spirit and in truth

27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, 29 for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. ~John 10:27-29

When we worship, we listen, we follow His lead, and we are guided by His word.

    Worship is essential

37 When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.

38 “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord!

Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!”

39 But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!”

40 He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!” ~Luke 19:37-40

    Worship is surrender

31 So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. ~1 Corinthans 10:31

Often instead of worshiping God, we worship our modern-day idols

Worship is not Christian entertainment. You have to participate.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. ~Psalm 100:4

Music is a vehicle but worship comes from you.

    Turn Back

    Psalm 22; John 13; John 16; Matthew 11; Hebrews 12

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from my cries of anguish? My God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.” Psalm 22:1-2

FOUR Reasons we get upset with God:

    1. God didn’t give me what I asked for

Some tragedies will never be understood this side of eternity

Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” John 13:7

    2. God’s plans confuse me

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

Jesus went on to say, “In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me. John 16:16

“When you are standing in a mass grave in Rwanda, the question that came to my mind was not the question that was coming to everyone else’s mind perhaps. I’ve had people ask me, where was God in the midst of all of this?’ But I could sense, at least from Scripture, what I knew of my heavenly Father, was that I knew where God was: He was right in the midst of all that incredible suffering. The more relevant question for me was, ‘Where are God’s people?” – Gary Haugen

    3. I misunderstand what God wants from me

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-3 The Message

    4. I have a problem with the “people of God”

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:1-3

On the other side of Endurance

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

    ~Hebrews 12:1-3

The Purpose of Endurance is to be Empowered on the other side.

As Christians We Are Always On Display.

Don’t allow distractions to steal our time and our heart away from Jesus.

We must run the race with our head up and our eyes fixed on Jesus.

I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. ~Philippians 3:14

God never promised a safe journey, He only promised a safe arrival.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ~2 Timothy 4:7

Training is never comfortable and isn’t always enjoyable, but it is necessary to be ready.

God didn’t put us in the race just to start it. He put us there to finish.

Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. ~Matthew 7:13-14

Don’t let your position determine your faith,  let your faith determine our position.

  • Forward, Not Backward
    Recalculating Week #3

    Forward, not Backward

    John 20:1-18

As we “recalculate” to move forward, we need to remember:

    1.  God’s Grace covers us in our unbelief

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.2 So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!” -John 20:1-2

So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. 21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” 23 “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” 24 Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” -Mark 9:20-24

Grace is big enough to cover us during every season of doubt

    2.  God’s Grace shows us that we are not alone

So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. 4 Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. 6 Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. 8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. 9 (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.) 10 Then the disciples went back to where they were staying. 11 Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. 13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”  “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” 14 At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.  -John 20:3-14

    3.  God’s Grace allows us to fully see and understand the desire Jesus has for each of us.

15 He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). 17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18 Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.  -John 20:14-18

    Storms Change Everything
    Acts 28:1-6

    1.  Storms often carry us to new places

Once safely on shore, we found out that the island was called Malta.  Acts 28:1

The storm is evidence that God is with you and He will get you through whatever you're going through

    2.  Storms often restructure our relationships

The islanders showed us unusual kindness. They built a fire and welcomed us all because it was raining and cold. Acts 28:2

    a.  Some storms clear people out

    b.  Some storms bring people in

    3.  Storms often expose our insecurities

Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand. 4 When the islanders saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said to each other, “This man must be a murderer; for though he escaped from the sea, the goddess Justice has not allowed him to live.”  Acts 28:3-4

Accusation brings up a part of your past that’s true, and it begins to pull you down

    4.  Storms often refocus our purpose

But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects. 6 The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead; but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god. Acts 28:5-6

  • Change of Plans
    Recalculating Week #1

    Change of Plans

    Authenticity is greater than artificiality

In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. 6 Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly. 7 But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.  Luke 1:5-7

Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12 When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born. 16 He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”  Luke 1:11-17

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. 14 But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?” Matthew 3:13

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!  John 1:29

But when John rebuked Herod the tetrarch because of his marriage to Herodias, his brother’s wife, and all the other evil things he had done, 20 Herod added this to them all: He locked John up in prison.  Luke 3:19-20

John’s disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them, 19 he sent them to the Lord to ask, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” 20 When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you to ask, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?’” Luke 7:18-20

Often, bad times cause us to wrestle with faith

At that very time Jesus cured many who had diseases, sicknesses and evil spirits, and gave sight to many who were blind. 22 So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy[a] are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. 23 Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.” 24 After John’s messengers left, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind? 25 If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear expensive clothes and indulge in luxury are in palaces. 26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet. 27 This is the one about whom it is written: “‘I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’ 28 I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.” Luke 7:21-28

When plans change, remember, God loves you, is always with you, and He has greater plans for you!

    Back to Church Sunday

    Matthew 16:13-18

Church is not something that should be tolerated, Church is something that should be celebrated

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi… He asked his disciples who do people say the Son of man is? Matthew 16:13

Caesarea Philippi was known as the gates of hell

Jesus is not afraid of messy people

Jesus began the conversation about Himself in an environment full of messy people.

“Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” 15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John, because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. 18 Now I say to you that you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.  Matthew 16:14-18

A promise is only as good as the person making the promise

5 Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. 7 And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.” Matthew 28:5-7

We can believe the promises of Jesus because of the resurrection.

    Anchored to Salvation

    Mark 1:16-18

Sin is when you and I decide to deny Jesus.

As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” -Mark 1:16-17

Jesus isn’t searching for perfect people

When God saves us, He saves us completely

Our sins are paid for: past, present and future!

At once they left their nets and followed him.  -Mark 1:18

Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. 14 He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach 15 and to have authority to drive out demons. 16 These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter) -Mark 3:13-16

When you and I become a Christian, Jesus Christ changes us

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. -2 Corinthians 5:17

You will all fall away,” Jesus told them, “for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.’ 28 But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” 29 Peter declared, “Even if all fall away, I will not.” 30 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice you yourself will disown me three times.” -Mark 14:27-30

Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders. 44 Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard.” 45 Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, “Rabbi!” and kissed him. 46 The men seized Jesus and arrested him. 47 Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. 48 “Am I leading a rebellion,” said Jesus, “that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? 49 Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.” 50 Then everyone deserted him and fled. 51 A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him, 52 he fled naked, leaving his garment behind. 53 They took Jesus to the high priest, and all the chief priests, the elders and the teachers of the law came together. 54 Peter followed him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. There he sat with the guards and warmed himself at the fire. -Mark 14:43-54

While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came by. 67 When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him. “You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus,” she said. 68 But he denied it. “I don’t know or understand what you’re talking about,” he said, and went out into the entryway. 69 When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, “This fellow is one of them.” 70 Again he denied it. After a little while, those standing near said to Peter, “Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean.” 71 He began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know this man you’re talking about.” 72 Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice you will disown me three times.” And he broke down and wept. -Mark 14:66-72

    1.  I’m a greater sinner then I thought.

We’re not saved because we’re good, we’re saved because Jesus Christ paid for our sin on the cross

    2.  He’s a greater Savior than I thought.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus -Romans 8:1
