You can add former Vice President and Indiana Governor Mike Pence to the list of prominent politicians who have had documents marked classified discovered at their homes or private offices. His lawyer says a search last week in the wake of discoveries involving President Biden and former President Trump turned up a quote "small number of documents" at Pence's Indiana home. The lawyer says they were immediately turned over to the national archives.

The parent company of TicketMaster took a grilling from Senators in Washington yesterday about their meltdown during an attempted pre-sale for Taylor Swift concert tickets a few months back. Live Nation's president denied the company has a monopoly over ticketing for major events. Some Senators called for the company to be broken up to encourage more competition and fairer pricing.

Notre Dame basketball took its fourth straight loss last night at North Carolina State, 85-82. The Irish are back home Saturday at noon against Louisville.

Monday's South Bend Common Council meeting was cancelled, and council members and Mayor James Mueller blame city clerk Dawn Jones for failing to formally post the meeting 48 hours in advance, which is required under state law. Jones says the claim is electioneering by council members who want her out of office. The clerk and council members have been at odds, council members claiming Jones is not fulfilling her duties.

The trial of 15 year old Anthony Hutchens for the murder of six year old Grace Ross nearly two years ago is expected to wrap up today. Gruesome details of the little girl's condition when found were detailed Monday. Hutchens is being tried as an adult, with no jury at the request of his attorney. The judge will decide his guilt or innocence.

Four Oath Keeper defendants were found guilty Monday of seditious conspiracy in the January 6th, 2021 US Capitol riot. Prosecutors said the men used a "perverted version of American history" to justify their actions. The maximum sentence for the rarely used Civil War era statute is 20 years in federal prison.

Former Notre Dame baseball standout Trey Mancini is officially a member of the 20-23 Chicago Cubs. He says he's enthusiastic about the Cubs prospects this year. Mancini says he's willing to play first base, outfield, or DH as needed.

Another six documents with classified markings were found Friday in President Biden's Delaware home. His lawyer says they were found after investigators were offered full access to the home, spending about 13 hours searching. The documents appear to date from his time as Vice President under Barack Obama, and from his days in the US Senate. A special counsel at the Justice Department is investigating all this.

The suspect in a weekend mass shooting in southern California reportedly killed himself Sunday during a standoff with police. He's identified as 72 year old Huu Can Tran, and police say he opened fire at Lunar New Year celebration at a dance studio in Monterey Park. Los Angeles county police say they are beefing up patrols in Asian neighborhoods in response.

High profile guests at a memorial service for Lisa Marie Presley Sunday included Elvis actor Austin Butler, Axl Rose, and the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. The only child of Elvis Presley died of cardiac arrest earlier this month at the age of 54. She was buried in Graceland's meditation garden, near her father and grandparents.

Conference final matchups are set in the NFL playoffs after Divisional games over the weekend. Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-20, and the Philadelphia Eagles downed the New York Giants, 38-to-7. Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals won at Buffalo, 27-10, and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys, 19-to-12. This Sunday, it's San Fran at Philly, and Cincinnati at Kansas City. Notre Dame hockey split a pair at Penn State over the weekend, winning Friday 2-to-1, losing Saturday 3-to-2. Wisconsin comes to the Compton Family Ice Arena this Friday and Saturday.

Indiana's Supreme Court heard arguments Thursday on the state's near total abortion ban, passed last year after the US Supreme Court reversed a 1973 decision legalizing abortion nationwide. The justices sharply questioned both sides. There is no indication when a decision might come. The new law is on hold until the justices rule.

In Michigan, Democrats controlling the state legislature are introducing bills to ensure that an old 1930s law banning abortions is reversed permanently. Voters in Michigan approved a constitutional amendment legalizing abortion last year, and lawmakers want to be sure relevant sections of Michigan law are changed to reflect that.

This basketball season will be the last for coach Mike Brey at Notre Dame. He and the university announced Thursday that he will retire at the end of the season. Brey is the winningest coach in the program's history over the last 23 seasons, with a national coach of the year honor in 20-11 and 13 NCAA tournament appearances, including back to back Elite Eights in 20-15-and-16. He said after a loss to Florida State last weekend he was no longer getting through to his players.

Saying the job has become too politically partisan, St. Joseph County Health Officer Dr. Bob Einterz is resigning effective at the end of March. Einterz and county commissioners have disagreed in the past about public health funding issues, including funding of a behavioral crisis center. The Board of Health will have to find a replacement, but there's no deadline, and they could make the job part or full time.

A Senate committee will hold a hearing later this month to investigate a lack of competition in the ticketing industry. The hearing comes two months after Ticketmaster's chaotic rollout of presale tickets for Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour, which prevented many fans from getting tickets. The company has been accused of price-fixing and antitrust violations. Ticketmaster says it dominates the business because their system is far better than anyone else's.

A French woman who was the oldest known living person in the world died yesterday. She was a nun, Lucile Randon, known as Sister Andre, and she was a few weeks short of her 119th birthday. Born in February of 1904, she lived through two world wars, man's first landing on the moon, and much more. The oldest known person now is a Spanish woman who is 115.

Notre Dame's complete 20-23 football schedule includes the August 26th opener in Ireland against Navy, and a home game September 23rd against Ohio State. The Irish also play at Clemson November 4th.
