This was one that we really wanted to see at the festival but couldn’t due to scheduling so we’re happy to finally sit down and discuss this new slasher throwback that was picked up by Shudder recently. Ending the show we finally discuss The Purge - Season 2 and whether it’s as good as the previous season that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Bliss was actually on the main screen when we decided to watch Freaks instead and that ended up being our favourite film of the festival. But did we also miss out on another new horror gem? We are back again this week to discuss yet another new release that has grabbed our attention. Little Monsters looks to fuse horror and comedy and with an interesting cast attached; we had high hopes this could be a film that hopefully rivalled the great films of this sub genre such as Shaun of the Dead. Hear our verdict now on if this film is worth your time as the weeks in 2019 quickly disappear. Elsewhere this week, Freddy Krueger just can’t stay out of the news recently. We could be seeing The Lighthouse sooner than we originally thought. And rounding out the show we have both seen Arrow Video releases of 90’s horror films and it’s a very mixed bag.

As we slowly approach the end of the year we are continuing to bring you as many reviews of horror’s biggest and most noteworthy releases of the year. Continuing that trend is this week’s film called The Nightingale. The follow up from director Jennifer Kent after her indie darling debut The Babadook. A long period piece usually isn’t our cup of tea but can the violent nature of this film make it something more than just another indie release? We shall find out. Elsewhere this week; Fede Alvarez is returning to the genre and we couldn’t be happier. Joker makes history. Richard Brake will be in the seventh installment of one of our favorite guilty pleasure films. And ending the show we take a moment to discuss a videogame for the first time in a while as our favourite gaming auteur just released his long awaited latest project and we’re loving every second of it.
