We have a jam-packed show for you guys this week. Kicking things off we give a quick preview of the horror films we are excited for that are all coming out before 1st November. It’s gonna be a very fun and busy few weeks. This week’s film sees us discuss a currently unreleased British horror film that just had its world premiere at this year’s FrightFest. The Barge People is a crazy throwback film that puts insane gore and effects into the British countryside. In our spoiler free chat we give our verdict on whether or not you should check this one out when it does see a release early next year. Next up we give our thoughts on the upcoming premiere episode of Creepshow. The new TV series starts September 26th and we give you guys a sneak peek of what you have to look forward to later this month. Ending this week we have a whole host of listener questions that takes us down some very interesting paths such as The Meg 2 and rather unsurprisingly; the Puppet Master films.

To beat the post FrightFest blues we are back with a little film that just so happens to be the follow up to our number one film of 2017. IT: Chapter Two is finally here and to say we’re excited certainly is an understatement. We dive into everything about this sequel such as how it compares to the previous film, differences from the book, crazy horror setpieces and one of the finest casts in the history of the genre. Elsewhere this week; the SHB Hype Train gets a sizable update as we may have a UK bluray release date for 3 From Hell ahead of it’s US premiere next week. There’s an update to the ongoing saga surrounding the extended director’s cut of Midsommar. And ending the show Matt highly recommends a Netflix show that just returned and Mike continues into the abyss known as the many Puppet Master sequels.

Sadly we have arrived at our final part of FrightFest coverage for another year. But we may have just saved the best till last. Starting this show with a bang we talk about Freaks; a film that is really hard to talk about without spoiling anything but we do our best. Next up is quite possibly the most insane, crazy messed up film we’ve ever covered for the show. Seriously, it’s mad. And our final film discussion is a World Premiere of certainly the most British film we saw at this year’s festival. To end the show we give our personal top 3 films of the festival and give our overall thoughts on what we thought of FrightFest’s 20th outing. Films Covered: Haunt, Red Letter Day, Knives and Skin, Sadistic Intentions

Continuing our coverage of FrightFest 2019 we are now on to the Friday in which we saw 6 films and we certainly have a whole range of different films to cover today. The day kicked off with easily one of our most anticipated films of the festival as the writers of A Quiet Place are back and this time they're also in the director’s chair. Followed shortly by an indie film with a cool premise that certainly evoked The Purge vibes. Next up was a film described as “not a horror film” in the intro which is always good to hear at a horror festival. And rounding out this episode is a film about a twisted romance with some metal music thrown in for good measure. There will be one more part to follow covering the last 3 films we saw. The waiting is over. The most wonderful time of year has arrived. After much excitement and anticipation in recent weeks; we have finally been to FrightFest 2019. And we have such stories to tell. Kicking off this first of our special festival dedicated shows we will be talking all about the 3 films we saw on opening day. That includes a potential cult classic starring Elijah Wood. The latest aquatic creature horror flick to chomp through the competition. And some creepy stories come to life to try and scare the younger generation. We also discuss the overall experience of our opening night and tease what’s to come in future parts. This is just the beginning as we still have two more days of films to talk about very soon!

With just one week to go until FrightFest kicks off once again; we return to take a step away from horror to discuss the latest film of one of our all time favourite directors. Quentin Tarantino is back with an all star cast and we couldn’t help ourselves by taking this week before we watch a whole bunch of new horror films next week to talk all about this divisive director’s take on 1969 Hollywood. We cover everything from the Manson family, long westerns and the unsurprising talents of Leonardo Di Caprio and Brad Pitt. After that we give a brief preview of the ten films we plan on watching at FrightFest 2019 and which films we hope we will surprise us just like Lifechanger did last year. As we continue to fill the gap between now and FrightFest 2019; we return this week to discuss a film which will be screened at the upcoming horror festival. Feedback will be screening on the Saturday and as we will not be there to watch it then we thought why not watch it right now. And that’s exactly what we have done. We discuss the film without talking spoilers so people won't have to worry if you are watching the film at the festival. Also Richard Brake is in this film so of course we have to cover it. Elsewhere this week; James Wan is confirmed to be making a horror film as his next project and that’s maybe the best news we’ve heard all year. We love James and so glad you’ve decided to come home. Little Monsters gets a fun trailer and UK release date. Ending the show this week Matt catches up on an interesting looking horror film from last year that we missed, rewatches M. Night Shyamalan’s brilliant trilogy once again and Mike takes a break from old horror to rewatch a favourite from earlier this year.

After taking a week out to discuss a TV phenomenon last week; we are back on the horror film grind to discuss the latest horror anthology to arrive this year. Nightmare Cinema brings some surprisingly good names together as it battles to be the next great horror anthology franchise. Can this finally be the one we’ve been craving since V/H/S ended? We shall see. Elsewhere this week; James Wan is returning with a surprise project. IT: Chapter Two is going to be very long. The Lighthouse gets a trailer confirming it as one of the most arthouse horror films ever made. And to end this week Matt watched the mini series adaptation of Stephen King novel 11.22.63 and has high praise whilst Mike decided to watch every House sequel in the last week to see if his sanity would hold up.

We return to Netflix for another television special this week to discuss a show that everyone in the world has seen at this point (according to Netflix). Our favourite 80’s kids are back and ready to fight off another supernatural threat as clearly these children won’t be getting some peace and quiet anytime soon. We go full spoilers for this season so make sure you’ve binged the show before you listen to us chat everything from Slushies to Terminators in this latest wild season. Elsewhere this week; a whole host of news fresh out of Comic Con gets us talking as Halloween is about to take over the world once again. This announcement also sees another horror franchise run away with its tail between it’s legs and we are very upset. IT Chapter Two gets one of the all time great horror trailers. To end this week, Matt sees a film from one of his favourite directors of 2019 and Mike starts another odyssey of watching every entry in an old horror franchise that can only end poorly.
