The best sci-fi show on TV is back. After 4 years away we cannot wait to see what the latest season of this incredible show has to offer and we are sure gonna savour it. First up is Joan is Awful; where a normal woman suddenly gets a Netflix adaptation of her life and the perils that ensue. And then Loch Henry; which tackles the ethics and realities of the current world of true crime documentary addiction that we live in. Cinema horror is finally back, baby! But it’s with a haunting type film which we don't typically vibe with. But it is a Stephen King story and has some writers and a director we’ve enjoyed films from in the past so hopefully this will be more The Conjuring 2 than say 30 other nondescript films of this sub genre. One of our most anticipated entries in this Ranking Wes Craven retrospective since we started it years ago is finally here. Red Eye was a seminal film for us like so much of Wes’ filmography and we’ve been dying to talk about this tight thriller for quite some time. Now it has its time to shine and with the recent 4K release the timing couldn't have been any better. Perhaps the most underrated film in his entire career? We certainly think so. Ending the show Matt gives his thoughts on his first rewatch of Scream VI and Mike is rewatching Mike Flanagan’s masterpiece once again.

Somewhat gone under the radar from back in January was the return of Kevin Williamson to not only the horror genre but the slasher world. So we need to rectify this mistake. Sick is the latest film to use Covid as the backdrop which is quickly becoming an overused concept but hopefully the other slasher elements are strong enough to make this film a great time. After we were both struck down in our prime a few weeks ago and couldn’t make it to the cinema we were anxiously waiting for this film to drop on demand. Now Renfield has arrived on the small screen and we can finally see Nic Cage playing Dracula like our little hearts desired. I guess this film has some other stuff in it also? And boy do we have a doozy here. Cursed has one of the most troubled and unfortunate productions of any Craven film; but is the final product still worth a watch?
