The cinema is keeping up very busy and this week is the big budget sci-fi return of the creators behind A Quiet Place and the super underrated Haunt. 65 has a great premise that was sadly spoiled in the marketing but still has some tricks up its sleeve. We have so much to say about this film as both a sequel to last year’s entry and also a continuation of this franchise. Then we go in depth on the finale of The Last of Us. The best TV show we’ve had the pleasure of talking about every week has finally come to an end so we give our overall thoughts on how this adaptation was able to pull off the seemingly impossible and where it leaves us going forward. We may never get to talk about two things we care so passionately about in the same week ever again so we had to make this a super sized special episode and savour it while we can.

FrightFest continues to provide new horror films to us not just in August but all throughout the year. We sadly just missed seeing Candy Land at last year’s festival but made sure to make note of it and check it out when it was available so here we are. Following a group of truck stop sex workers after multiple dead bodies start appearing; this indie film has quite a lot to get stuck into.
