A DoorDash employee is facing several charges after allegedly trying to steal an order from a retired Madison County deputy who was paralyzed in the line of duty in 2019. Deputy Brad Sullivan had ordered several items from Academy Sports on Monday, but never received them. When Sullivan contacted the DoorDasher, who has been identified as Terel Hampton of Jackson, he told him he didn't have his order and refused to bring it to him. Police got involved, and officers pulled over Hampton. They found a firearm, marijuana, and the merchandise that should have been delivered to Sullivan. Hampton is charged with petit larceny, improper equipment, and possession of marijuana while in possession of a firearm.
