In this week’s episode, I met with Khara Croswaite Brindle and Christina Murphy, two clinicians in private practice who came together to create “The Empowerment Model of Clinical Supervision” and the Supervisionary Subscription of monthly tools for clinical supervision. These powerhouses share some of their clinical experiences as well as their business experiences, how they met, and how they co-birthed the Empowerment Model. This episode is great for supervisors, supervisees, and those who are considering becoming either. I love how they have created a fluid model based on mutual respect and evaluation which makes room for experience and knowledge supervisees naturally bring into the relationship.

These ladies are full of wonderful clinical supervision tools, revolutionary ideas to create more space for diversity in helping professions, and provide everything a supervisor needs to stick to the empowerment model of supervision with their supervisees from the very beginning- and feel confident while doing it!

Self-care has changed dramatically in response to COVID-19, and has always been something many clinicians struggle with. We identify as healers of others, which often means we put everyone before ourselves.
