Grappling with the aftermath of a loved one's suicide is an odyssey that's as personal as it is profound. I've walked through that dark valley myself, and it's from this intimate knowledge that our latest series emerges—Moving forward after unthinkable loss. We kick off with a heart-to-heart about the true nature of grief, moving beyond the myth of predictable stages to paint a picture of an individual journey with its own rhythm and pace. Many times as survivors we feel healing seems out of reach even if we find the strength to climb out of this trench because often we find ourselves in a grief plateau, yet it's here that we lay down the groundwork for growth and revival.

In this episode we speak to the idea of finding meaning. Many people will say there in no meaning in death, but this is not about finding meaning in death. It is merely about peeling back the complex layers of grief and finding what going through this experience really means for us. It is a way to look for the silver linings. It doesn't mean we would ever think losing a loved one was worth it to get to this place of finding meaning. It  just recognizes the good that can come from the experience of grief to help soften the pain of it.
