Recently, the Nebraska Legislature passed a bill that made something that was already illegal, illegal. How you may ask? I have no idea either! I just know that it really got under my skin and I was on a mission to give them a piece of my mind. However, right after I got the news of that bill's passing, I was given a message from the Universe - forgive! I had to go back to basics, and remember much of what I talk about the week in and week out. I hope this message is valuable to you because it was for me.

I recently received an SD card from a friend of mine at a prison facility here in Nebraska, with a video of himself on it. Caught me off guard at first, because this isn't something the NDCS normally does! As I watched the video, I was encouraged and inspired, because he poured his heart out and stood in his power and said what he needed to say. He talked about how he's used his time in prison to better himself, and listed off some of his accomplishments. He took some time to thank his friends and family that have stood by him through the entire ordeal. And then, he caught me off guard, when took time to thank his "haters." Not sarcastically, not with any malice in his voice, but genuine thanks. Tonight, I get to tell some of his story and why he owes such thanks to those that tried to take him down.

As usual, I've been paying attention to what's going on in society and a thought occurred to me recently. I was reading something on Facebook about how a certain individual felt he was owed "reparations" for his ancestors being slaves in America in the past. It got me thinking...wait a minute, does this person think slavery isn't still happening? Does this person think that it's unique to just their ancestors, and no one else in history? I promise you, that's not the case!
Then I got to thinking, "wait a minute, why is that person reliving someone else's past?" As I thought about that more, it reminded me that all of us have a tendency to relive our worst moments over and over, as if they were still happening today. Why would we do that when that event isn't happening anymore?
It's a deep topic, and I barely scratch the surface. I hope you find value!

I decided to try something different tonight. I have a lot going through my head, so many things I want to talk about and address, that I can't decide which direction to go. So, I'm going to do a little free flow.
I've been noticing that "The System" has all of us operating at almost 100% fight or flight. People are on edge, stressed out, ready to explode...myself included! What if it's being done on purpose? What if that's exactly how "The System" wants to keep us. Because when you're only going off pure emotion, you aren't thinking clearly, and your enemy has you at a disadvantage. Our bodies, our minds and our emotions are under constant stress and we aren't taking the proper time to recover. How can we deal with the stress we are facing with Covid-19 still looming over our heads, and still keep going and fight this fight? Let's try and find out.

On the evening of May 30th, 2020 during the 2nd night of protesting in Omaha, a 22-year-old man, James Scurlock, was shot and killed. Mere days later on June 5th, despite eye witness accounts, video footage, and numerous social media posts showing possible intent, the man who shot him, Jacob Gardner, was released by the police with no charges filed. Tonight I'm joined by David Mitchell, local activist and entrepreneur. David has not only had his own run in with "the system," he was there on May 30th to give us a first-hand account of what happened during the protests, and then the following "riots" that occurred after the killing.

On May 14th, 2020 Mattieo Condoluci was killed in his home in Omaha, NE. Over the next few days, as details of the killing came out, the media tell their own version of the story, making Mr. Condoluci the "villain" and his killer the "hero savior." Marie, from Nebraskans Unafraid, joins me to dissect the story being told, and more importantly to discuss the items the media is conveniently NOT discussing.

I've been re-reading the book "The Science of Success" by my coach and mentor James Arthur Ray. In it, he goes in depth into immutable laws that run our universe. 7 of them, to be exact. As I was reading them, I was recognizing how they applied directly to my own life, and especially to this particular time in history.
