A free 3-Day event to give Parents + Caregivers of children with disabilities a plan to ease daily stress and exhaustion with simple systems. Running from September 20-22, 2021
I'm answering the questions that you have. I’ve found speakers to answer the questions or to give you help and guidance in the areas that you're asking for. I am so excited about what is coming up. Our first summit was specifically for moms, but I knew something was missing. It didn't encompass the whole scope of who cares for kids with special needs; chronic conditions; with disabilities. And so I wanted to really make a point and expand it. And I wanted to make it something special. So I decided to create the Parent + Caregiver Summit: Children with Disabilities Edition.

People, moms especially want to be more intentional. Our lives are fast-paced except when we’re fried which is when we wish we had taken the time to do certain things.
It is really important for moms to connect with who they are connecting with. It doesn’t take much and is always welcome.
It is also as important to release those people, groups, etc. who are sucking the spark out of you.

Connect with me on Facebook + Instagram + The Mighty + PinterestFor so long I was an island. I tried not to tell my family too much of what was going on with my daughters unless it was major or life-threatening. My close friends, and by close I mean 3 tops knew a bit more but were lost when it came to helping the unknown
When I thought of groups my only reference was mommy groups or Al-anon, those were never for me.
This is why my world opened up to Facebook groups. I joined a lot! This episode is about why it’s a good thing to try out different kinds

Let this episode be a PSA - get reacquainted with your family's medical needs and what to have in place for a relaxing vacation.
Over the year of COVID, we became lax in keeping up with the organization needed to keep track of the moving parts of a special needs family
I thought we were prepared but on our vacation, in over a year my eyes were opened to things that had slipped through the cracks. There was hiccup after hiccup.

We all want to belong, we don’t want the embarrassment of being called out for not belonging. This is the place I’m coming to you today.
As a parent, I've known how my children need more than the average child and yet the term special needs child, as I knew it, did not fit the narrative at the time.
This episode is about how I came to understand the term special needs and am learning to embrace the fact that I’m the mom of 2 girls who do fall under the umbrella.

Connect with me on Facebook + Instagram + The Mighty + PinterestSurvived in the waiting room takes on a whole new meeting sometimes. Whether we are literally or figuratively in the waiting room. There comes a point where we might feel disconnected.
In today's episode, we are going to talk about feeling disconnected. To actually getting connected and feeling lighter. It's a description that many clients tell me that they have. And I always smile when I say it. Because what a great feeling to go from this heaviness to this. Feeling of lightness.

Connect with me on Facebook + Instagram + The Mighty + PinterestMost of us didn't have a life experience with caring for children with needs that aren't in the ordinary scope of things. But let's face it. Even if it wasn't the normal scope, we would still struggle to see our children and pain and discomfort. And that's just part of being a parent. We take care of things because we have life lessons to help us along the way.
Just remember, you don't have to do it alone.
