After 27 years as a licensed cosmetologist, Susanne Shepherd Post is as passionate about her career and her clients as she was on day one.

As one of Nashville's top stylists, Susanne eventually opened her own space, Shine Salon, in 2004. She has done freelance work, locally and around the country, with numerous celebrities from film, television, music, and sports. Susanne enjoys working with all hair types, from short and straight to long and curly, finding great satisfaction in helping her clients fall in love with their texture. She is a Ouidad Certified Stylist, and her clients have lovingly dubbed her "The Curl Whisperer," as she can find curl in anyone's hair.

In 2017, she partnered with the YWCA Middle Tennessee to create the initiative, Shear Haven, which educates beauty professionals about the signs of domestic violence and how to respond. In 2020, they teamed up with salon safety leader, Barbicide, to offer the Shear Haven training online. Since their launch in October of 2020, they have been able to certify over 26,000 beauty professionals in over 100 countries, helping the initiative have a world-wide impact. She is proud to have worked alongside lawmakers in Tennessee, successfully passing a bill in both the Senate and House of Representatives. It will require up to an hour of domestic violence training for all licenced cosmetologists, barbers, cosmetology instructors and students.

Also in 2020, Susanne was asked to be on the direct contact subcommittee in Governor Lee's Economic Recovery Group. She was the salon representative for the state of Tennessee, and was able to offer input about how the beauty industry could safely reopen during Covid-19.
