On Sunday, the Boston Bruins signed goaltender Jeremy Swayman to an 8-year contract extension through the 2031-32 season with an annual NHL cap hit of $8.25 million.

The $66M deal comes less than a week after team president Cam Neely disclosed to the media a $64M deal was on the table, and Swayman's agent said they needed a few days to regroup after the breach in confidence and a note saying his client had received no such offer.
