This week we had the pleasure of Phil Roberton from Flawed Hero who has organised at alternative London Marathon which can be walked, ran or a combo, to raise money and awareness of men’s mental health issues!
The marathon is in collab with the London Marathon, and will take place the night before the official Marathon, with a group of men running through the night around Hertfordshire.
Each guy will receive the official London Marathon medal for finishing, and will be the first in the world to get them! The aim of this is to show that anyone is capable of achieving a marathon! Men’s mental health is still hugely under resourced and is a topic which is key to longevity for both the men themselves but also the women in their lives. The stigma attached to a man asking for emotional help still seems bafflingly rife and we’d love to help smash this!
So do we have any male followers who want to join in with this? Listen to the podcast to learn more - but the bottom line is it’s £500 to enter, you will be with an awesome bunch of blokes and get that official London Marathon medal to tick off your bucket list - as well as supporting some important charities too!!! So let’s hear it for the boys and get involved - whilst we’d love to run too we are very happy to be the cheerleaders for this one!!!!!!
