Flint Harkness is running for Legislative District 5. Flint has lived in the Hanscom Park neighborhood since 2013 with his wife, Shylo, and son, William. He has been teaching since 2011 and is currently a resource teacher in special education. Previously, he worked at Alpha School, a Level-3 behavioral school located in south Omaha, which serves as an alternative program for many Omaha-Metro School Districts. He is a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education and a Master’s in Secondary Education with endorsements in Special Education Leadership and Special Education.

Margo earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she was a Goodrich scholarship recipient. A strong advocate for transparency in government, Margo worked for both the Social Security administration and the Internal Revenue Service before retiring. The mother of two children and four grandchildren, Margo has been a passionate community volunteer and supporter of education. Margo was appointed to the Omaha Public School Board in 2021 and reelected to serve in 2022.
