Ever wish you could know exactly what he was thinking? Would you like to have a man's perspective from time to time? Is there a situation you could've used some male intuition in? It's no secret that men and women often THINK and COMMUNICATE differently.
In this episode, we have special guest husbands Brandon (Shara's husband) and Rajesh who was on a Season 1 episode with his wife. We're getting their opinions on why it takes so long for men to decide on marriage, how the really feel about "classy, bougie, and ratchet" women, and if marriage is what they thought it'd be.

There is no handbook to marriage. No one teaches us how to be a wife. And many of us walk into marriage with expectations that frankly, won't be met. When expectations don't meet reality, we can find ourselves wanting out.
In this episode we're talking resetting our marriage expectations with Leasha Ogle, founder of This Thing Called Wife. Leasha is sharing the lessons she's learned after changing her outlook on her own marriage and giving us tools to navigate being a wife!

Make sure the little ones are in a different room when you play this episode! We're talking all about cursing - should women (and especially moms) do it? Some people think it is unbecoming of a woman to throw out a f-bomb every now and then. What about the thought that only uneducated people curse (because they don't know other words). With two master degrees over here, we know that's not true! Is cursing only a "privilege" for men or women without kids? In this episode we're discussing our thoughts and experiences with being cursing women and moms...who really don't give a f*ck if you curse too!

"The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the Black woman." -Malcolm X
We're kicking off Season 2 with this brown and black girl magic! In this episode we're talking all about how being a woman with black or brown skin is work! While we've certainly made some progress, we still have so far to go. Women of color on average receive the lowest wages, hold the worst jobs, and are more likely to be unemployed. We deal with racism, classism, AND sexism but we're not letting it get us down. The world will see this magic!

We love the conversations that happen around our episodes! In this Tasting Notes, we're hearing your feedback on EP 24 - Classy, Bougie, Ratchet! In that episode, we discussed "ratchet motherhood" and how you can remain true to yourself while still being a great parent. Mom shaming is a thing but just because you're a mom doesn't mean you should be judge on how you are as a person!

Take a listen back at our favorite episodes! We've said it time and time again - having a baby changes everything. And for most women, the biggest change of all happens to our bodies. What happens when the baby comes and you look in the mirror and realizes things just ain't sitting the way they use to.
In this episode, we're talking all about our struggles with our post-baby bodies and how we're working on our own personal snap backs while learning to love our new bodies. Because self-love is so important, even when you look a little different than you use to.

We love the conversations that happen around our episodes! In this Tasting Notes, we're hearing your feedback on Episode 20 - Are Pinterest Moms Real? In that episode, we discussed what our own vision boards of motherhood looked like and where we fall short. If this pandemic has taught us anything, it's definitely that finding the time and patience to create Pinterest-worthy fun is so much more challenging than those pins would have you believe.
