Machine learning is not like regular programming. In this episode of the New Stack Makers podcast, recorded live at SXSW 2017, we spoke with Inmar Givoni, Director of Machine Learning for robotic start-up Kindred. Givoni spoke before a packed room at SXSW about the basics of machine learning. We talk to her about her experience working as a grad student at Microsoft, where she worked on machine learning algorithms for the Microsoft Bing search engine and the Kinect gaming console. We also spoke about the challenges of bringing AI-smarts to robots.
