Welcome to the South By Southwest (SXSW) Festival in Austin, Texas! We're kicking off our coverage with two powerful short films, Scotty's Vag, and Vibrator Girl.

Scotty's Vag explores a night of sorority hazing, and how far one girl is willing to go to fit in. Director Chaconne Martin-Berkowicz sat down with us to talk about her experience with sororities, her apprehensions with the film's title, and the difficulty of shooting a scene that involves jello wrestling. 

Vibrator Girl is a horror/fantasy that imagines what happens when a girl uses her vibrator compulsively to the point of no return. We were joined by screenwriter/star Zoe Mintz, and screenwriter/producer Morgan Ciot to discuss why this had to be a horror film, and the ongoing themes of femininity, body dysmorphia, and pleasure.
