Sylvia Global arrives in San Gabriel, California to meet with Rev. Ken Fong of Evergreen Baptist Church of Los Angeles.  The high-profile church began as a Japanese first generation church in the early 1900, to a predominantly Asian-American church in the 1980.  Now it is a multi-Asian, multi-ethnic, multi-generational church.  This  has caused him to "re-boot" his concept of being Christian and of being the Church.  He discusses The Heroes' Journey and gratitude to those who are on the journey with him.

Sylvia Global travels the continent of Africa with Jackie Copeland-Carson, Ph.D, USA Executive Director of the African Women's Development Fund-USA (AWDF). 

AWDF is a coalition of Black women and other philanthropy groups from over 30 countries who established August as Black Philanthropy Month.Dr. Carson shares Six principles of Black philanthropy that our communities throughout Africa and its diaspora can use to increase the impact of our giving.
