Brent Axe chats live following SMU's 77-75 win over Syracuse on Tuesday night.

The Orange found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again as it let another double-digit lead evaporate into a loss. SMU scored on 15 of its last 16 possessions and dominated in the paint in the 2nd half (28-10) to squeeze out the two-point win over SU despite a 13-of-27 performance at the free throw line. 

Axe discussed how the 2024-25 season could end up without a signature moment for SU (a win Tuesday would be about as close as they have come to it) and the gargantuan task ahead to put a 12-18 (6-13) team back into the NCAA Tournament conversation.
