He comes from a family deeply rooted in baseball, Taber was coached and mentored by his father and former podcast guest, Coach Trent Mongero, a well-respected figure in the baseball community and an expert in teaching infield play.
Taber has since transitioned from playing to the Director of Player Development for UNCW where he mentors young athletes by sharing his knowledge and passion for the game while upholding the values of hard work, discipline, sportsmanship and mental toughness.
