Today we will bridge the gap between old and new. We will hear from two prophets: Jeremiah and Ezekiel about the covenants and what went wrong with them...especially that Mosaic covenant. Today we see an extension of the covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. David is the shepherd King and God talks to him about the covenant in 2 Samuel 7. The Mosaic covenant is a little bit different from the past covenants we have talked about. This covenant has a lot more people participation and expectation. The people of Israel needed to embody the laws...sometimes that happened but a lot of times it didn't. We will talk about this covenant today.

In Genesis 8, God establishes a covenant with Noah. We know there was a worldwide flood and it destroyed everything except for Noah, family and the boat full of animals. When all is done and everyone is off the boat God has some things to say. God calls this a covenant twice. Take a listen and be reminded of the covenant today.

Today we are going on a little excursion to talk about Biblical Covenants. We are approaching covenant season at Tabor Church, so I figured it was time to do a little refresh course on what covenants are and what they are not. It is always good to clear up any misconceptions and really see that covenants are the backbone or operating system throughout the Bible.

Today we are talking about grief and mourning. Paul says Christians don't grieve like everyone else...and that's true. But sometimes that makes people think they shouldn't have any emotion. There should be emotion in grief. There is a reason why we say we have hope and why that hope is more than just a small percentage.

We are going to close out the But God... series today with a glimpse into the life of Paul or also known as Saul. Galatians chapter 1 Paul give us the quick break down of how he became a religious zealot. He rose through the ranks and was a well respected man. I don't think there were any Christians who were rooting for Paul to become one of them. But God...wasn't done with Saul/Paul.
