If evil exists it has to come from somewhere. Here is how the conversation usually goes...If God is all knowing and powerful, then God must be the source of evil. It sounds like this would be a problem. We'll discuss a couple of issues with this today. What do you have to add to the discussion today?

We will merely scratch the surface on this subject today. The existence of evil is big question and discussion so we will take an overview today and then explore the topic this week. We will ask today, how do we know what evil is, if there is not a good that know of? Moral absolutes are what we really get down to. What do you have to add to the discussion today?

The ending of yesterdays podcast I mentioned God being just and loving. It sounds like the two characteristics might clash. How can they be compatible? We will discuss this today and use one main illustration. Feel free to add to the discussion.

This is a pretty common question that is based on a lot of assumption. We are going to talk about Heaven and Hell and what God's desire is for all of humanity. Do you have something to add to the conversation? Please add it to the comments.

This is our first big question: Who Made God? If you have been raised in the Church this seems like a silly question. No one made God. There is a lot of conflict on this because if the universe didn't have a start it wouldn't need a someone/something to start it. If the universe is not eternal, how did God create out of nothing? What else would you add to this discussion?

Today we are finishing up the conversation on logical fallacies. They sound like logical arguments but are actually just distractions to the discussion. Today we'll cover 8 different fallacies that will be helpful for us as we talk about Big Questions of faith. It is not too late for you to submit some questions that I would be happy to discuss on an episode.

This week we are launching into questions about God, faith, religion, etc. Before we get there I want to spend a few days talking about the logical fallacies that exist. Why talk about them? We come across these arguments all the time and once we start to notice them it dismiss it and get back on track with the discussion. We will hit a few today and a few tomorrow. It is not too late to add your questions that I will discuss.

Today we go with another verse of the day, Isaiah 25:1. Isaiah lifts up God for who God is and not what Isaiah has turned God into. Isaiah is sharing the story of how he has seen God work. God promises something and God fulfills. What is your story of knowing God is at work? It is good to share the stories.

As I wait for you to submit your questions of faith, we will hit a few scriptures for the day. Today we talk about Matthew 6:6, as Jesus talks about prayer and reward. We see the word reward and we think "give us what we want." Jesus gets to our motivation. Why are we praying? Why do we pray?

I believe that it is good to ask questions. There are things we wonder about or struggle with doubts. The Church has not always encouraged the asking of questions but that was a mistake. This sent people asking questions to people with only a google knowledge of the subject. I asked that you submit your questions on the Facebook page. Message us, go to the website, ask questions and I will discuss my thoughts on it.
