This week, we're talking about music. In a recent episode of Oprah's "Where Are They Now", Monica gave fans an inside look at her home life, while she reflected on her career. During the episode, she mentioned wanting to stay true to herself when making albums and not simply creating music for popularity. It brought up the question: Is R&B going extinct? Will there be a continuation of the R&B music tradition or will the music die out? We talk about some of our favorite R&B artists that may help the genre continue and also we talk about some of the artists and R&B songs that we feel aren't helping the art form move forward.

This week, we ask the question: “Where are we going?”. The “we” in the question refers in general to the country, but in particular to Black Americans. Over the last week, we’ve seen several people ranging from Luvvie Ajayi to Dez Bryant to Gilbert Arenas speak on various aspects of their disdain for Black American’s characteristics. Whether it’s Gilbert Arenas’ preference for lighter shade black women or Dez Bryant’s irritation with our lack of “trying” and blaming that on racism, we noticed how east it is to hear these statements and totally disregard them because we don’t agree. We felt it was (is) important to dig a bit deeper to create a dialogue around the issues they raised (even if we think they’re idiots).

It seems as though the national and local media outlets have to constantly beat us over the head with new images of police brutality for the subject to remain urgent and important. That doesn’t make much sense to us (much like the Kendall Jenner/Pepsi ad), and so, we decided to speak on the subject to hopefully keep the conversation going.

We discuss the apparent trigger that caused the controversy and what we’d like to see him do (or not do) in response. We also debated the current politically correct culture of insincerely apologizing. Finally, we discussed the trans-gendered community and lay out our transparent feelings on the subject.

Recently, possibly due to the black lives mater movement, many in media, sports and on social media have expressed pro-black sentiments. It has become almost fashionable to be a pan-africanist, “woke” or  conscious and to express extreme black pride. Many in media have taken those expressions as black racism. Where is the line drawn? Is it possible for black pride to become racism? We also try to answer the question- “Do either of us consider ourselves racist or prejudice”? Listen in to hear the answer.

This past week we were “enlightened” by Twitter on a few things in the news and thought we would take a moment to speak on the crazy things that are lining these Twitter streets.  For starters Snoop Dogg has introduced a new video “Lavender” in which he takes jabs at Trump. He has a scene where he pretends to shoot a clown that bears a strikingly close resemblance to Trump.  Trump being Trump, of course, decides to Tweet his response to the video which in turn sparks a slew of responses on Twitter from the public and good ‘ol Bow Wow who fails to defend Snoop in his reckless jab at Trump and his threats to prostitute the First Lady.  Of course if that were not enough, T.I. decides to join the party and bring up the rear in his defense of Snoop’s honor.  Then we turn left and what do we find?  Cidney “Total Liberation” Green is hosting an Orgy in the ATL. Last but not least, Tyrese takes a blast at women for taking beauty modification too far.  He believes that it makes women “look like a manufactured clown”.
