Taiwan has held a series of military and civilian drills to simulate a Chinese invasion. 22,000 reservists have been mobilised, and the threat of China means the rehearsals are having more of an effect on day-to-day life in Taiwan. It's a message to China, to the US and to the public that Taiwan will defend itself.
