On Episode 104, we're doing something we never would have imagined doing when we initially started these tributes. Today, on Take It Personal, we celebrate the musician, Kanye West.

Our collection of tributes includes DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Prodigy, MF DOOM, Black Thought, Redman, KRS-ONE, Kool G. Rap, Sean Price, Mos Def, Hieroglyphics, Atmosphere, Kurupt and Pharoahe Monch, to name a few. So, while doing Ye might come as a surprise to some, it made sense to us.

We know Kanye West is a polarizing figure. We know what he's said and done over the years, but today we're paying homage to the artist, not the person. No matter what your opinion is of him, there is no denying his incredible catalog.

It's unfortunate we weren't able to celebrate this 2-part tribute alongside Virgil Abloh, who happened to be a big supporter of Take It Personal.
