With the number of incarcerated Americans spiking by a whopping 500 percent in the last four decades, compassion doesn't seem to be something at which we currently excel. Rabbi Sholom Lipskar, who runs an organization dedicated to helping prisoners and other afflicted populations, joins us to talk about why we need to change the way we treat prisoners as well as the ways we think about prison.
