Do you respond or do you react?

 

Today’s show is all about the difference

 

Do you just constantly REACT to what the world is throwing at you?

 

From being on a golf course to running a business each and every day we have the opportunity to either respond or react.

Many golfers hit a bad shot and they react.

They don’t respond

Many people in business react to a negative comment or a lost sale

They don’t respond

 

To truly take charge of the direction of your life it is vital that you begin to ask the respond/react question on a regular basis.

When you react less and respond more you then have the OPPORTUNITY to really take charge of your days

Your success and you output

You start to respond by eating better

You respond better by moving more

You respond better to inevitable setbacks

 

As Jordan Peterson says to live a meaningful life we need to ‘bear a heavy load’

To take on responsibility is hard

It is challenging

It requires some tough choices

Some tough decisions

 

It is much easier to react than to respond

From a sporting perspective I would go as far as to say that if you take the lessons of what we are discussing today it can and WILL change your whole game.
