We also talk about co-host Tom’s new­found den­tal adven­tures as well as updates on the quest for Lord Stan­ley, who hoist­ed the first ever Wal­ter cup award­ed to the PWHL cham­pi­ons, and who’s set to face off for the Memo­r­i­al Cup!

Pack-A-Day this week is 1990 Score and we pull some real beauties!

Back at it tell you about a fine num­ber 27 — the great Gilles Meloche! This mus­ta­chioed tendy patrolled the pipes for the likes of the Cal­i­for­nia Gold­en Seals, Cleve­land Barons and Min­neso­ta North Stars, so you know he felt the sting of more than a few bis­cuits to the side of the head! He cur­rent­ly sits at 4th all-time in the Goalie loss lead­ers, where he’s got some pret­ty good company.

We also get caught up on Round Two play­off action, look at some head coach­ing vacan­cies and debut our brand new pack-a-day segment!

Then we talk about the play­offs — first try­ing to dis­sect exact­ly what’s gone wrong for your Win­nipeg Jets and then talk­ing about some of our oth­er favourite play­off high­lights and stories.

He played 1000 games on the nose, dished out a whole lot­ta apples, still leads the Blues in most major cat­e­gories and was induct­ed into the Hall of Fame for his efforts!

Plus we talk about Salt Lake City’s new hock­ey team and what a long, strange trip it’s been to get them there and talk about all the play­off impli­ca­tions of a man­ic Mon­day in the NHL — 7 of the 8 games have some mean­ing to some­one!

The fel­las are fired up for this sweet episode that we’re call­ing The Nys­trom — in hon­our of Bob­by Nys­trom, the blond bomber from Hin­ton, AB by way of Stock­holm! All you need to see is that flow­ing mane and that big ol’ duster and you’ll know why Knuck­les got the call today!

Record­ed on Good Fri­day as the lads find them­selves with a lit­tle time on their hands, this one’s been chris­tened in hon­our (!?!?) of Claude Lemieux — one of the great­est agi­ta­tors to ever play the game, and agi­ta­tor’s a word that my grand­ma would’ve used to say a‑hole. He won 3 cups and the only friends he made along the way were prob­a­bly his teammates…

Then we talk about the Jets who are strug­gling to say the least — at the time of record­ing, they’ve lost 5 straight and need to right the plane soon, lest they slip into one of those wild­card spots.

And final­ly we talk about all of the fans mas­querad­ing as emp­ty seats around the league — it’s clear­ly not just a prob­lem north of the border.
