Plus he won 6 Vez­i­na tro­phies, an Olympic gold medal and col­lect­ed a whole bunch of oth­er acco­lades along the way, play­ing in the show until the age of 43!

Then, we wrap up our Four Nations Cup ros­ter dis­cus­sion with a dou­ble shot, cov­er­ing teams Swe­den & Finland!

Of course we’re talkin’ Pavel Demi­tra, the late, great Slo­va­kian super­star who plied his trade for the Sens, Blues, Kings, Wild and Canucks, plus was an beast on the inter­na­tion­al ice, lead­ing the 2010 Olympics in points! Sad­ly his life was tak­en too ear­ly as part of the hor­rif­ic Loko­mo­tiv Yaroslavl plane crash.

Then, we con­tin­ue our Four Nations Cup ear­ly pre­view and look at some of the hard deci­sions fac­ing ol’ Bil­ly Guerin as he assem­bles what looks to be a stacked US roster!

The boys are com­ing in smooth on this hol­i­day Mon­day with an episode named after a great all around play­er — Patrice Berg­eron! He amassed almost 1100 points dur­ing his career, played exclu­sive­ly with the Boston Bru­ins, but per­haps is known best as the top shut down cen­tre man of is gen­er­a­tion, gar­ner­ing 6 Selke trophies.

Then in a nod to ol’ Patrice, we talk about upcom­ing ros­ter pos­si­bil­i­ties for the 2025 Team Cana­da Four Nation’s Cup ros­ter — who’s in, who’s out, who is on the bub­ble and who should be a lock!

Pack-A-Day habit is the 1990 – 91 O‑Pee-Chee set — we both have some stel­lar pulls and eat some 30 year old gum.

We’re get­ting into the weird num­bers here kids, not gonna lie — our oth­er options today were Mike Eagles and J.J. Daigneault! We think that we made the right pick though going with rugged cus­tomer Matthew Barn­a­by — he caused prob­lems for oppos­ing play­ers dur­ing stops in Buf­fa­lo, Pitts­burgh, Tam­pa, Col­orado, Chica­go and Dal­las and caused a few prob­lems for him­self off the ice!

We spend peri­od two doing a fun lit­tle re-draft of the first dozen picks from the 2016 NHL draft — sure Aus­ton still goes #1, but the rest of those first twelve is a bit of a shake up and a fun exer­cise to be sure. Plus, we pre­dict an old pal to the Jets at #18!

Ol’ Andy had a pret­ty stel­lar career across 18 sea­son, win­ning 3 cups and back­stop­ping some great Oil­ers, Bru­ins and Stars teams to 372 career vic­to­ries — he capped it all off with a final sea­son in Mon­tréal, some­thing that co-host Jared had com­plete­ly for­got­ten about!

Then, we talk about a sum­mer of (in)activity from your Win­nipeg Jets and dis­cuss what the next con­tract looks like for Cole Per­fet­ti. Plus we tip our caps farewell to Joe Pavel­s­ki, and sing say­ono­ra to Evge­ny Kuznetsov.

He back­stopped the Habs to 2 cups and then after a con­tro­ver­sial trade, back­stopped the Avalanche to 2 more! He’s near the top of the heap in pret­ty much every ​‘tendy stat that there is and is a cer­ti­fied legend!
