This is episode 116 from May 2021!

Jeremy Wray coming on was a big moment for the podcast. Jeremy had lost his brother and agreed to come on and talk it up. Very special for me, always nothing but respect for Jeremy. Hope you enjoy whether you've heard it or not, throw it on and get stoked!

I have a real special episode for you this week with the one and only, Jeremy Wray talkin': growing up with his brothers and finding skateboarding, learning to ollie, early Blockhead days, joining Markovich at Color, the infamous water tower Thrasher Magazine cover, shooting with Sturt, getting on Plan B and that amazing opening line to his Second Hand Smoke part, designing Destructo trucks, fatherhood, losing his brother Jonas and much more...

This is episode 99 from season two back in November of 2020. Mofo brings so much inspiration with his epic stories and as he'll tell you, being at the right place at the right time.

Raised in Escondido; Mofo is a straight up legend—a pioneer who created or helped create much of what drew me into the world of skateboarding. His stories are plenty and his miles are many and the people he's shot photos of... you've probably had on your wall.  Whether it be early days at Thrasher Magazine,  living with Tony Alva in So-Cal, coining and launching the "Skate Rock" department, crashing on Swenson's couch in SF, being front-man for the Drunk Injuns skate rock band, creating logos for Thunder Trucks and SMA, or partying with Skip Engblom in Venice—Mo was there. Hope you enjoy this one as much as I did and believe me, the interview ran out of time way before I ran out of questions; thus the 'Vol.1'

This week’s guest, Ricki “The Dude” Bedenbaugh sits in for a 2-hour bonanza podcast to kick off December talking Ryan Sheckler’s Costco kickflip, Bachinsky’s El Toro kickflip (just to name a couple of epic moments Ricki filmed). Nerd out as we discuss timelapse’s, super slow-mo, film vs video, Elvis Presley vs Triple Six Mafia, the one-shot filming technique, the origin story of his nickname "The Dude", girls with four wheels on each foot, working for Element, being the old guy while the young ones are raging, break dancing at weddings, Coffee and Curbs, and the art of shitting your pants. Lots to digest in this one and we even have cameos from our dogs, Honey Bee and Alfredo.VENI•AUDIVI•DIDICIRICKI BEDENBAUGH:   / rickithedude  --------------------------------------- SUBSCRIBE NOW: https://bit.ly/2RYE75F---------------------------------------INTRO MUSIC: "Mary's Cross" by NaturINTERVIEW & EDITED: Greg "Schmitty" Smith CREDITS MUSIC: “Adirondack gate” by Shane MedanichCLOSING MONOLOGUE: Noelle FioreEXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: Sharal Camisa SmithSMFM MUSIC DIRECTOR: Shane Medanich   / onsmfm  SMFM GUEST BAND: Erosion (www.instagram.com/erosion__)WEBSITE: https://talkinschmit.com/YOUTUBE:    / talkinschmit  INSTAGRAM: @Talkin_SchmitFACEBOOK:   / talkinschmit  --------------------------------------- CONTACT with comments or suggestions: [email protected] SUPPORT OUR SPONSORS:BLOOD WIZARD (http://bloodwizard.com/) BLUE PLATE (http://www.blueplatesf.com/)ORO COFFEE (http://www.instagram.orocoffeeroasters_sf--------------------------------------- #skateboarding #podcast #talkinschmit #RickiBedenbaugh #kickflip #ollie
