He lost a younger brother to suicide 6 years ago and shared how he has avoided having conversations about it but felt like he needs to work through that so he can help others who have experienced losing a family member to suicide. Dallan Laforett joins me for Episode 48. Dallan and I were coworkers and spent two winters commuting to Park City, Utah together to build custom homes up at the top of Deer Valley Ski Resort. As we have been getting a lot of snow this winter I have reflected on that experience. I work in an office now, but as I look back on working construction during the hot summers of St. George, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada to the cold winters of northern Utah I am grateful for those experiences, which remind me not to get too comfortable or too soft. Dallan is a good dude, dad, friend, was a good guy to work with and a good influence. He is a hard working talented craftsman with an, “I’ll figure it out”, attitude.
