On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, it’s the first of what will be an 11-part series examining who are the best 10 Buffalo Bills players of all-time, position by position. Today’s premiere in a series that will run through the start of Bills training camp runs down the ten best quarterbacks in Buffalo franchise history.
These top 10 power rankings for quarterback and all positions to come are exclusively the opinions of TBP host Patrick Moran, who doesn’t confer with media or poll fans for input. Several factors go into the ranking of these players positionally including productivity, longevity, personal accolades and overall team success.
We wouldn’t say there’s anything “shocking” with this list of the top 10 quarterbacks in today’s episode, but there’s a handful certainly up for debate or at least their positioning, especially around the middle of the countdown.
Input whether you love, hate or fall somewhere in between with these countdowns is welcomed. You can reach out with your own takes at the locations listed below.
Here is a list of when upcoming episodes from this series drops. Also, the “Casual Friday” episodes featuring Joe Yerdon will also air each Friday with their normal format for those:
Wednesday June 28th (Running Backs)
Tuesday July 5th (Wide Receivers)
Wednesday July 6th (Tight Ends)
Monday July 11th (Offensive Line—Tackles and Interior are separate list on same show)

It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss several topics, including wondering why BillsMafia and so many fans (and gambling sights) around the league are sleeping on the AFC defending champion Cincinnati Bengals, parallels between the Buffalo Bills and Colorado Avalanche, exploring what’s the proper way to cover something significantly newsworthy like Kim Pegula’s medical condition, and this week’s “Starting Five” draft of Best All-Time NFL Quarterbacks.
The Bengals, despite nearly winning the Super Bowl last year with a young and ascending nucleus not to mention adding greatly to their offensive line in the offseason is the only 11th biggest favorite win the Super Bowl this year and just sixth-best in the AFC. The guys want to know why and Patrick’s downright confused by it.
They also spend time talking journalistic integrity, the PGA Tour looking like they could be in trouble and tons more.

On this bonus Wednesday episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is joined by both WGR Sports Talk Show host/Buffalo Bills sideline reporter Sal Capaccio and WKBW-TV sports anchor Matt Bove for a conversation revolving around the Buffalo Bills as well as their new podcast, “It’s Always Gameday in Buffalo.”
Patrick talks to the guys about the reason they decided to join forces to start their own podcast and the premise behind the show. They explain what they think they bring to the table teamed up as podcasters, what fans should expect as they move past their first few episodes and some insight into what’s a crowded Buffalo Bills podcasting space.
They also spend plenty of time talking Bills as training camp nears about a month away. Patrick asks the guys for what they think will be a few of the more interesting camp storylines to final and then they play a game of Buffalo Bills over/under, where Patrick sets stats on a number of players with Sal and Matt both predicting if the players will go over or under that number.
Follow Sal on Twitter @SalSports, follow Matt on Twitter @Matt_Bove and of course be sure to check out their new It’s Always Gameday in Buffalo podcast, available wherever podcasts are found.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran launches the first in what will be an occasional conversation with Buffalo Bills and/or Buffalo Sabres superfans. We really hit it out of the ballpark with this one as Tik Tok sensation and Bills fanatic “The Professor” Nick Harrison joins to talk Bills, Tik Tok, wrestling, positivity and much more.
Nick started Tik Tok when the pandemic hit in 2020. Over time with videos, many focused on superbly re-enacted professional wrestler entrances, he’s built up a cult-life following on the app that has grown over ONE MILLION followers. We talk about him starting on Tik Tok, dominating what’s generally a young person’s game, building up the channel and staying humbled throughout its success.
Of course we also talk plenty of Bills, including how and why Nick became a fan of the team despite being born and raised in Louisiana more than a quarter-century ago, a love affair with the team that still resonates to this day. He also discusses having the opportunity to meet a nice chunk of BillsMafia last Thanksgiving in New Orleans, an experience that nearly leaves his speechless.
They also discuss their mutual love for wrestling, what sets his wrestling Tik Toks apart from the others, involving his students with his videos, being a light of positivity, his goals for the future and much more. Awesome conversation with one of the coolest guests we’ve ever had on the podcast.

It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss several topics, including a discussion on if they think the "suffering' of the Buffalo Sabres organization is finally over, Jordan Poyer actively participating in Buffalo Bills mini-camp, Phil Mickelson becoming golf's big villain and this week’s “Starting Five” draft of Best Robert DeNiro movies.
Back in 2013 then-Sabres general manager said the team and fans would have to endure some suffering. More than nine years later that’s remained to be true. However, there feels like light at the end of the tunnel and the guys discuss reasons fans should be optimistic about this team going forward while still pointing out obstacles they have to overcome to be legitimately competitive for a playoff spot.
They also talk about Bills safety Jordan Poyer not just attending Bills mandatory mini-camp despite speculation he may not show up over wanting a new contract, but actively participating in team drills. Does this mean Poyer’s confident something will get done?
That plus the villainizing of Phil Mickelson, the muzzling of The Athletic staff from tweeting politics, their draft of Robert DeNiro movies and much more!

On this special episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran hosts his second-annual “Podcaster’s Roundtable” featuring three of the most accomplished and popular Buffalo Bills podcasters in the game today. Joe Marino (Locked on Bills), Bruce Nolan (The Bruce Exclusive) and Greg Tompsett (Cover 1 Buffalo Podcast) join to talk all things podcasting and life.
The conversation focuses on podcasting and pretty much everything in general except for the topic the guys usually cover---the Buffalo Bills. They talk about their own individual podcast processes, the most difficult part of the craft, life trumping sports and balancing the two, content creating preferences, hobbies and much more. It's a great opportunity for fans to get know more about the guys who brilliantly cover the team beyond the airing of their respective podcasts.

It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss several topics, including why Sean McDermott has plenty to prove before joining the ranks of the elite coaches of the NFL, the start-up LIV golf league making a huge impact on the sport immediately and this week’s “Starting Five” draft of Best Prince songs.
PFF recently put out a data-driven list of the best 10 coaches in the NFL and the topic was discussed on the NFL Network. Several Bills fans were angry that McDermott wasn’t on the list. The guys talk about how the omission, while in ways stupid isn’t quite as egregious as most fans think.
They also talk about how Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and others are, at least for now changing the game of golf and not necessarily in a positive way. That, plus their draft of favorite Prince songs in a week that would’ve seen him turn 64 years young and much more.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is joined by Aaron Quinn from Cover-1 to discuss, among other topics the Buffalo Bills crowded wide receiver room getting more crowded following the free agent signing of Tavon Austin over the past few days.
The Bills have seemingly more NFL caliber wide receivers than available roster sports and that’s before the addition of Austin. Aaron has opinions on what Austin brings to training camp and his chances of making the team as he competes with a handful of candidates fighting to make the roster after locks Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis and Jamison Crowder.
The guys also spend some time discussing Josh Allen appearing high on Peter King’s list of Most Influential People in the NFL for 2022, the retirement of former Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and plenty more.

It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss several topics, including reaction from Josh Allen participating in golf's The Match with other quarterbacking greats, Isak Rosen signing his entry-level deal with the Buffalo Sabres and their “Starting Five” draft of Best Duos.
Josh Allen teamed with Patrick Mahomes on the golf course to go against Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers in “The Match” that was televised by TNT. Joe didn’t care enough to watch but Patrick has plenty of thoughts about it, stemming from the actual golf to Josh’s rising star factor to be included in the foursome. Staying with football they also spend time discussing Jordan Poyer’s desire to receive a new contract from the Buffalo Bills and between Poyer’s wife (Rachel Bush) and agent (Drew Rosenhaus) wonder if it could potentially become a distraction.
They also discuss some playoff hockey with Patrick not being able to consume enough Edmonton Oilers hockey while also rooting against Tampa because he despises their fan base.
Joe then breaks down the Buffalo Sabres signing 2021 first-round pick Issac Rosen to a three-year entry contract and the likelihood he’ll be in Rochester this season before the guys finish up with this week’s “Starting Five” draft, this time selection Best Duos.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran goes solo and focuses on three primary topics: if former Buffalo Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes should someday go on the team’s Wall of Fame, the rising next level stardom of Josh Allen, and why Patrick now includes “This is Us” on his Mt. Rushmore of TV shows.
There’s been a lot of debate on social media whether Hughes deserves to go on the team’s Wall of Fame someday. While Patrick doesn’t completely dismiss the possibility, he discusses several candidates he considers more worthy. He also spends a few minutes talking about the rising superstardom of Josh Allen off the field and why it feels weird as a life-long Buffalo sports fan, and pleads his case for This is Us being one of the greatest TV series of our time despite many calling it too emotional or even boring.
