Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss to the Cincinnati Reds. There was another team meeting before the series opener on Friday but that didn't work results-wise, as they couldn't hold multiple leads which led to an extra inning loss (stop me if you've heard that before). Manny Machado and Juan Soto had big days on Saturday but that didn't make Ben feel much better about the team. In the series finale, the offense fought back late but didn't do much at the beginning of the game which ended up costing them. Ben Fadden gives you his thoughts on the San Diego Padres series loss in Pittsburgh against the Pirates. After losing two in a row to the Washington Nationals over the weekend, you'd think they would've come out and not looked as flat as they did on Tuesday in game one of the series. Yu Darvish didn't start because he was sick and Steven Wilson was placed on the 15-day IL. Manny Machado said he didn't have time to speak to the media after the 9-4 loss. Although he spoke the following day, was it still a bad look for the guy who's viewed as the captain of the team?
