Thoughts on the Padres first series in Sacramento vs. the A's. Jackson Merrill went on the IL (hamstring), Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jake Cronenworth exited Tuesday's loss and Dylan Cease struggled to fool the A's offense. They still won the series though!

Some thoughts on the Padres snapping their seven-game win streak and their first series loss of the 2025 season at Wrigley Field. While they did a good job of limiting the mistakes in their home stand, they didn't replicate that in this Cubs series. Too many walks and obviously not enough run production to make up for the mistakes being made. The good news though was they found a way to come back on Sunday after getting down 7-3!
