Tonight's show didn't disappoint as we finally iron out the details of Rom and how he works, and determine if Soggy was in fact correct with his hypothesis. But, in doing so, the return of a mechanic long lost to the community is discussed, and both sides of the issue are discussed. Is station burning good? bad? or need tweaking? PLUS we examine the month to date with dabo payouts, and other payouts combined to determine this months overall 'feel' with rewards. Finally, the treasury mechanic is discussed in a brief, yet informative segment about WHY players may or may not feel animosity towards this new hybrid feature. Today the show was allllll sorts of information jammed into one. Last night we chill on the highway yet again in another Talking in Carz with DJz. While some players prefer this format, (DJz loves the production and goofiness that a studio show brings) it pretty much always DOES deliver some good conversation and content. While the Treasury tax has been repealed, players continue to speculate on it's origins, and Bubba Jo earns his own pitchforks with his proposed solution. Plus, other strong points this week include F2P presentation on Amalgam, increased Rare Directive sourcing, increased officer sourcing (through multiphasics and dabos/epic luck), and increased event reward payouts. Does that read like a headline? It should. The first part of this show starts relatively typical as we break down the valuable meta and events this month that are gonna require VERY careful planning and even then, players will likely have to choose a direction to pursue this month, as it would be very very expensive to do them all. However, the conversation transitioned in the second segment of the show to surround one singular item: The Treasury Tax. The title speaks for itself. Rules of Acquisition Pt2 (and final) is here, and Scopely has not disappointed in their ability to channel their inner Ferengi. Let's be clear, there are several potentially GOOD things this arc. I will reserve judgement until we're able to see more. But from right out the gate, there's a thing or two that is most certainly and clearly BAD. And one of them is that Scopely has quite literally enacted it's first TAX on the game as it pertains to raiding. Why was this done? What was the logic? We attempt to break it down, and give you more information about the upcoming arc, all the while answering your questions about this upcoming Month. Get ready, this one is a doosey.

Tonight, the wounds of RoA Pt 1 were reopened, salt poured in, and then rebandaged in sandpaper. HOWEVER, players found some shining moments this arc and we found time to discuss those as well. The feesha was obviously the big topic, and the perspectives battled on whether the ship was a f2p savior, or a colossal waste of time. Scopely's consideration for players during international crisis was applauded loudly, and week 3 modifications to events were praised. So, was this arc quite AS BAD as we originally may have thought? The community sounds off, and the results MAY surprise you.
